Its nice to see that 2 of our recruits have thier teams in the 10 in Div.1. Its also nice too see who is who in Ohio Div.1 and see a decent portion of our future recruits from D1 schools as well. I almost beginning to think that all of our recruits were from D3 or lower schools. This helps in having recruits that are ready to play now rather than later as next year we have such a huge drop off from losing 5 seniors.

Jen Uhl is from Wadsworth
Crystal Murdaugh is from Dublin Scioto.

Bianca Hooten is from N.Canton Hoover
Jen Uhl is from Wadsworth
Two things:
1) Hooten goes to Canton McKinley. Same league, different team (McK is a much bigger school...and urban. Hoover is very much not urban, and is a smallish big school, with enrollment around 1600-1700.
2) I just want to point out that Wadsworth's lone loss is to my alma mater, the aforementioned Hoover Vikings. :)

Others receiving 12 or more points: Cin. Oak Hills 15.
As someone from Cincinnati, I would love to see Coach Miller get someone from one of these three schools

Not going to lie to you... there are very few schools I dislike more than Lakota West. Hopefully if we do recruit one of them, they're much better people than most of the Lakota kids I've run into.

I, from a personal experience standpoint, don't buy into if a kid is from a D3 or lower they aren't going to be ready to play their freshman year. I know some coaches that have told me that the best players they ever coached were from small schools. A lot of kids from the smaller schools are more fundamentally sound than the kids from bigger schools. A lot of the bigger schools play more with athletes than basketball players. You are going to find a harder worker from a smaller school on most occasions than you would a large school. I have to admit that recruiting large schools in Texas is a little different than recruiting big schools in Ohio, but you still find the same type of athletes at those schools. You give me a team with about three or four kids from large schools with athleticism and the rest of my kids that are basketball players that get buy from knowing the situation and being smart basketball players, and I will show you a winning team.

What problems have you had with Lakota West kids, and has it also happened with any from Lakota East

West was just about the dirtiest team I've ever had to play against in lacrosse. People seriously got hurt from all the blatant slashes, plus they were just classless in general. The only person I ever knew from East was a druggie who thought it was a great idea to mix vicodin, alcohol and pot. Every school has their fair share of those, though. Mostly it's the West lacrosse thing.

Damn. I really need to get over my old sports grudges.

Jaco,

Let's see how the Wadsworth / NC Hoover re-match looks like in either Sectional or District play.
Maybe it will play out like it did last year.... :-)

Home in the Wads,
