I apologize for stealing anyone's thunder here.......I just saw the new AP Poll on CBSSportsline.com and noticed it hadn't been posted here yet.
BG is up to 16 in the AP poll!!!!! The slow steady climb continues.

The AP has an Ohio specific story on the poll going across it's wire this afternoon.
Apparently, Ohio State is 5th, but there are no other teams that fall under the "Ohio" umbrella in the poll.

They should check out the front page of today's USA TODAY. Take a look down at the bottom left box about home winning streaks.
We have quite a way to go to reach the streak of LSU, but look at #2 (sorry there #3 but someone else in Ohio is stealing the thunder).

is it possible that this is a story about the MEN'S team at OSU? They too are #5 and that poll does not contain any other teams from Ohio.

Nope. It was women's. Even said women's in the slug.

Haven't found a link, just saw it directly on the AP wire.
I guess that doesn't necessarily mean it will ever see the light of day, but the fact that they gloss over BG at all makes me ill. It's one thing to get glossed over during a mediocre football season, but for the women at BG to do the kick ass job they've been doing and still hang around in the OSU shadow is sad.
EDIT:
Here it is...

thanks!!
I agree with you very much too. Although it's a wee bit understandable that OSU would get more/better coverage, it's time for the media statewide to stop ignoring BG. The PD here in Cleveland has done MUCH better this year but they could do more.
The good news is that if there was more media hanging around AA, it would have an effect on the girls. That's just human nature....so maybe avoiding the write-ups is a good thing from that perspective. That's the ONLY positive though. Everything else just points to pure disrespect....IMHO.

I'm not big on the "no respect" angle, but I do think that what this program has done the last four years deserves a mention in an AP story about Ohio top 25 programs at the very least!
It is good to see the PD and the Akron paper, apparently, also pick up on more BG coverage.

That's because Bowling Green is in KY, not OH.

I notice how the Akron Beacon Journal "bolds" OSU's name in the polls and will do so for all the area teams in the scores....but does not
bold" BG in the poll. Must need to keep the budget on ink down. LOL
Oh well....as long as the women keep winning, I don't care. I'd love to see them get a shot at OSU. I'd pay $100 for a ticket to that game...which is probably how much OSU charges at Value City Arena anyway.
GO FALCONS!
