Ol' Chuckie now has us as a rising 5 seed. I'm surprised we're not higher, seeing as how he has our record at 162-2.

Okay, this is bordering on ridiculous (in a good way). Even looking at the start of the season we had, the OOC schedule we roared through, and figuring that unbeaten in the MAC was a decent possibility, I figured a 5-seed would be outstanding. Now a RISING 5-seed? Unbelievable. Even though Chuck's bracketology degree isn't worth a hill of beans when the selection committee sits down in March, that kind of respect and attention is outstanding (not to mention incredibly well deserved!)

ROLL ALONG!

I think if we go undefeated, our profile should be right in line with a 5-6 seed. I would actually prefer a 6 to a 5 or 4, but who can complain at this point after getting hosed so bad last year?

I agree that a 5 seed sounds a little optimistic, and that his projections don't mean squat to the committee. However, if I remember correctly he predicted our seed very close to what it actually was the last two years, either right on or within one. Let's hope he makes it three years in a row.

I like the seed, but not the locations

In looking at this page a little harder, I noticed this must still be a work in progress. We're supposed to play Texas Tech, who apparently is one of the last four teams left out of the bracket. Numerous teams appear in the bracket more than once, including Maryland holding down 3 of the 4 #1 seeds. That team must be fantastic.

I'm assuming this will be completed soon and then a story posted on the main WCB page.

Now our lady falcons have no chance of landing Nance's kid.

when all is said and done, I just hope that they get into a bracket with Ohio State. I REALLY want to see a BG/OSU game THIS season. I think Jim Foster would have to change his shorts if he saw BG come up in his bracket.

Yeah same here. I so want either a Lansing regional or a Pittsburgh regional, so I could make it.

The updated bracketology includes Ball State as a rising 10 seed. There's an article to go with it.

We're also in the E. Lansing pod -- which would be sweet.

So we're a "rising 5 seed", but the column says BG could get "as high as a five seed". Huh? :?

I think it is based on the fact that we rose to a 5 seed.

If they don't get E. Lansing which would allow for an easy drive for NW Ohio fans I'm hoping for Raleigh!

Jerry Palm, of CSTV and collegeRPI.com, has us as a falling 6 seed playing in L.A. Kind of odd since we were a rising 5 seed in his last projection. He also has ball state as a rising 9 seed up from an 11.
