I wasn't there but first off congrats to Ohio for winning the game. The guys on the internet thought BG was getting railroaded but again, I wasn't there.
Ohio shot the lights out today and we were 2 of 18 from 3 pt land and didn't hit our FT's in the 2nd half. I understand some of the players are under the weather.
It was going to happen one day. Today was the day.
18 game winning streak gone
39 straight MAC games gone
29 straight home games gone
Put it behind ya ladies and come out and rip Miami on SR night. It's not the end of the world, though. Time to rev it up and begin a new streak. I can't wait to get to AA Wed night!
WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU FOR EVERYTHING YOU'VE DONE!!!!!
THREE PEAT!!!!! CRUSH MIAMI!!!

BTW, BG now leads the all time series with Ohio, 41-19.

Ohio breaks a 6 game losing streak to BG. When you look at the past few games with Ohio, they've given us plenty of headaches.

Nothing to hang their head about. Their accomplishments are legendary.
They need to put this behind them and move on. Let's sew up Miami and move into the tourny on a high note!
GO BG!
Roll along, babes!

Despite how much I would love to blame this loss on the officiating, Freak had some very good and valid points. We struggled a lot with our shooting today. We missed some shots that we should have made and there were some that the ball just didn't bounce in our favor. Our foul shooting would have made the difference.
Ohio did play extremely well and congrats to them. They would have been much more lethal if their coach was playing...how tall is she? Highly amusing quote regarding her, "It looks like they took her and put her on one of those racks to stretch her that they used in medieval times."
Kate played one whale of a game. I do not think there is anybody that plays the game with more determination than she does. She put her heart and soul into today's game, and there is nothing more that we can ask of her.
As for the streak, yes it hurts. But we'll take it out on Miami and then use this to inspire to go out and annihilate Ohio and the rest of the MAC during the tourney. I would really like to see a rematch between Ohio and us because I know these girls would come out hungry and with incredible focus and determination. Don't be ashamed and but the loss behind us. Let's go kick some Redhawk butt!!!!
GO FALCONS!!! BEAT THE REDHAWKS!!!

Lets get back on the horse and stomp Miami next Wed. Extremley poor shooting all around especially from 3 land (2-18

) didn't help and our d wasn't as dominating as it could've been. We did force alot of to's on OU but overall it seemed like OU got whatever they wanted.
I thought Kate's passing 1k pts was our 4th 1k pt scorer but I guess I was wrong. This loss does nothing but put us in a bad light with the "all-knowing" NCAA committee and their view of us will only go down even more. This loss basically hurts our potenial NCAA seeding as all. Instead of possibly seeing a 5 or 6 , we'll probably looking at a 9 at best after winning out the final home game and the Mac Tourney. The committee loves to look for reasons to screw a mid-major and we just gave them the ammo, but alas lets just take care of business Wed , the law of averages just decided to visit us today. Yeah, some very inconsistant refereeing at the end helped a smigden as well. The ladies can just use this game as rocket fuel to the fire that burns inside and take it out on the next opponents.
GO BG LADY FALCONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LAMBAST MIAMI!!!!!!!

I am a Blue Raider Fan. I know that your loss helps us, but I was holing that we would both be top four seeds in the touney to see what kind of damage we could do. I hope you all are able to regroug and win your tournament.

bbf,
Thanks for the kind words. We all knew eventually the streaks would end and when you shoot 8-30 FG's in the second half and 0-8 for 3 pt's....ugh. Bobcats hit 56% of their shots from the floor.
Anyway, good luck to you down the stretch as well. We mid majors gotta stick together! I think BG will be just fine.

I'm not sure, but I don't think so. As of this morning the women have moved from 19 to 20th in RPI (collegerpi.com). OU moved up to 105 from 120. Assuming a win against Miami, the projected rpi is still 20th, that is the "good" news. AP poll is always a head scratcher, but I think in the coaches poll the women will still be ranked, possibly in the top 20. Number 24 Nebraska lost last night to oklahoma st as well.

I'd like to think not, but never count out AP poll in their "infinite" wisdom to drops us out. I think if we absolutley cream the Redhawks next Wed. we might stave off us dropping comepletely out. Again , this loss really hurt our chances to get a good seed in the NCAA Tourney. We were on thin ice as it was. Losing to OU with their rpi hurt since this is our first "bad" loss in a good long while. Losing to Ball St. wouldn't have hurt nearly as much.
