Miami cut it to 4 at half, but BG pulls away and wins by 30!

Horne with 23, Ali with 22.

Thanks seniors!

Great way to go out at home seniors!!!

It was a wonderful night...from the pregame recognition of the seniors to the wonderful "Star-Spangled Banner" from our own Men's Chorus to the great mascots to the guy winning burritos for a year...amazing. Nice crowd to see the seniors off.

I must admit I am slightly disappointed with 2 things. 1) We didn't get 100 points. I was so badly hoping, especially after getting the free fries. We were just 8 points shy...so close. That would have been really cool to have seen happen, especially in Anderson on Senior Night. 2) I would have liked to have seen the seniors play the last minute and be on the court when time ran out. I did like that this way they each got a standing ovation, but in my mind, I like having the seniors there at the end since it is their night.

Outstanding job!! Now let's go kick some butt in the MAC Tournament!!!

No need to risk an injury in the last few minutes of the regular season when we have the tournament coming up. I think it's a smart move by Miller, just in case.

Pretty standard protocol to sub them out one by one towards the end of a decided game so that they each earn a standing o.

A Miami player blocked Liz's shot late in the first half, then got up in her face taunting her about it. Liz didn't take it very well, and get back in her face, and both players got T'd.

A win over a sub-.500 team?

Great, now they're gonna drop in the polls again.

Miami coach Maria Fantarosa said "I think Ali's the Player of the Year."

Yeah, and I think the sky is blue.

These jealous coaches better not screw this team come awards season.

I think Ali's the player of the year too.

I also think Carrie Moore's going to win it.

That would be a shame. Ali could score 30+ a night on a bad team getting all the shots she wants, and experienced basketball observers should hopefully be able to recognize that.

They should just change the award to "Scoring Champion" instead of "Player of the Year" if Ali doesn't win.

I completely agree with you. Ali does a lot more for her team than score, but I'm not sure the voters will be able to see that with all our balance.

A shame is the correct term.

I like what Coach Miller said, if Amber doesn't win the MAC 6th Man of the Year Award, they should just get rid of it

What a great night! Met up with Falcon Fanatic at Campus Pollyeyes (sp?) before heading over to AA. The 2nd half was fantastic. Great crowd although I was hoping a few more would have shown up. THANK YOU SENIORS!!!! YOU WILL BE MISSED!!!!

Now, onto the Tourney. We will be at Tuesday's game vs the UT/UB winner but won't be able to make the Friday game...provided BGSU advances. I am taking no team for granted in this Tourney.

As far as individual awards? Everyone knows Ali Mann should win Player of the Year. But since BG is such a TEAM....I hope Ali wins it.

GO FALCONS!!!! THREE PEAT MAC TOURNEY CHAMPS!!!

I just read her whole quote. You are taking it out of context. She is speaking only for herself which is why she said "I think". To not say it that way would be appointing herself as the official voice of the conference coaches.

She stated her opinion in a very respectful and complimentary way. Not a hint of jealousy. Just admiration.
