Miami cut it to 4 at half, but BG pulls away and wins by 30!
Horne with 23, Ali with 22.

No need to risk an injury in the last few minutes of the regular season when we have the tournament coming up. I think it's a smart move by Miller, just in case.Falconfliccbone wrote:Great way to go out at home seniors!!!
It was a wonderful night...from the pregame recognition of the seniors to the wonderful "Star-Spangled Banner" from our own Men's Chorus to the great mascots to the guy winning burritos for a year...amazing. Nice crowd to see the seniors off.
I must admit I am slightly disappointed with 2 things. 1) We didn't get 100 points. I was so badly hoping, especially after getting the free fries. We were just 8 points shy...so close. That would have been really cool to have seen happen, especially in Anderson on Senior Night. 2) I would have liked to have seen the seniors play the last minute and be on the court when time ran out. I did like that this way they each got a standing ovation, but in my mind, I like having the seniors there at the end since it is their night.
Outstanding job!! Now let's go kick some butt in the MAC Tournament!!!
A Miami player blocked Liz's shot late in the first half, then got up in her face taunting her about it. Liz didn't take it very well, and get back in her face, and both players got T'd.It's the Journey... wrote:What was up with the technical fouls??
I think Ali's the player of the year too.JoeFalcon wrote:Miami coach Maria Fantarosa said "I think Ali's the Player of the Year."
Yeah, and I think the sky is blue.
These jealous coaches better not screw this team come awards season.
That would be a shame. Ali could score 30+ a night on a bad team getting all the shots she wants, and experienced basketball observers should hopefully be able to recognize that.Jacobs4Heisman wrote:I think Ali's the player of the year too.JoeFalcon wrote:Miami coach Maria Fantarosa said "I think Ali's the Player of the Year."

I also think Carrie Moore's going to win it.
I completely agree with you. Ali does a lot more for her team than score, but I'm not sure the voters will be able to see that with all our balance.JoeFalcon wrote:That would be a shame. They should just change the award to "Scoring Champion" instead of "Player of the Year" if Ali doesn't win.
