BG now at #20 in the AP, after NC State knocked off Duke and moved up from 24. I think we picked up some votes, however. (Now at 258)

The Way I see it.......

We absolutely must pound UT and all other teams on up to the Mac Tourney Championship to get our respect back after that OU loss. Our chance at a goo NCAA seeding depends on it.

Polls mean nothing come tourney time.

And even so, we're gaining even though we appear to be falling. Just win, we'll be fine.

Pounding Toledo would just be a happy bonus.

In basketball circles, we didn't lose any respect by getting beat. People that know the game understand that our win streak in conference is unique, and that you are going to have a hickup once. Don't think that the loss to OU is going to decide where we are going to be seeded. What is going to decide our seed is how the other ranked teams do in their conference tournaments. All that the girls need to focus on is winning their third MAC title. The rest of it will fall into place. I still see us around a six seed. That wouldn't surprise me at all. Let's just enjoy what is going on right now, and worry about the selection when it comes.

Fine words, Houston. I think it's great BGSU has been in the polls all this time. GWU lost and fell to #15 and there are a good # of mid majors in the latest AP Top 25...GWU, MTSU, BGSU, Marquette, UW-GB and Montana. I like seeing that. These BCS conferences don't have to dominate everything.

I just want the women to beat UT, win Friday and win Saturday. I want another MAC Tourney title. Think of this....3 consecutive Regular season titles and 3 consecutive tourney titles. Sounds GREAT to me.

When the NCAA selects BG to play in the Dance, I'll get jazzed about that. This team is too much fun to look past one game at a time.

C everyone at the Q in a few hours!!! GO FALCONS!!!! CRUSH THE ROCKETS!!!
