Poor Attendance

Watching some of the women's tournament today, I saw some pretty empty arenas. I also read where the Connecticut site had sold the most presale tickets of any first round site and they still had nearly 8,000 tickets unsold.

I have to believe that we'll be one of the better travel teams and could have a decent showing in East Lansing.

Just goes to show how far the women's game has to go to catch up with the men's.

Womens bball is not popular enough to have neutral sites in the first two rounds

I think BG traveled pretty well for today's game. It pretty much sounded like a home game for us. I'm certain seeing all of that orange helped too.

What a win, the poor attendance for the entire tourney didn't keep the friends of the feathered away!

It looked and sounded good on TV.

The box score says 6,504 attended. Orange was everywhere, of course.

AP says more than 2,000 Falcon fans made the trip.

There were probably more than 2,000 BG fans there. That place was ROCKIN!!. I only saw about 100 OSU fans there.

If I'm not mistaken, this figure was announced before the end of the first game. I never heard an announcement during the BG game.

6,504 is the session attendance, it's listed as the same for both the Vandy game and ours.

The evening session that included Michigan St. only drew 6780 fans so I'd say the Falcon fans represented pretty well.
