Other than depth, what do you think is the biggest weak point for the Falcons heading into the Sweet 16?

and other than occasionally getting 3-happy and jacking up too many, those are our only weaknesses.
Well, that and officials not calling 3 seconds...

The only thing missing, IMO.

Luckily for us, ASU is in no position to exploit that weakness.

I think that full court press last night showed that only having one true ball handler can be a bit of a liability.

You don't beat a press handling the ball, you beat a press not handling the ball.

What ever you do we weren’t doing it very well last night.

After the 35 hours of game film the team has to watch, I don't know if we are going to have a weak point. They will be ready and we have a great chance of pulling off another upset!

...and that's why you shouldn't point out weaknesses when you don't even understand how to break a press.
Kate can handle the ball, same with Carin and Ali. I wouldn't say we don't have more than 1 person who can handle the ball, it's just that their press was very good last night and we didn't make great decisions trying to get the ball up court.

Yeah -- Curt said we got that wide-eyed look at the end. Momentum and us losing some composure lead to the turnovers much more than scheme or talent. Vandy tried pressing us earlier in the game and we got a couple layups because of it. They backed off until they had no choice and we just didn't respond very well.

I'm beginning to wonder if extremely quick teams are our weakness a little , even over big teams. Ok St was really tough. We seemed to cruise on Vandy till the last few min's when they made it real close and we almost gave the game away.

I feel like we need to come out after the half with as much momentum as we have when we start. They came out a little flat yesterday night and had it not happened, we might have been able to avoid Dayon's Den pissing his pants at the end.

First, to break a press you have to be able to push it up the floor. The most effective way to do that is by passing the ball, but a good, quick ball handler can usually beat it themselves. The problem with the end of a game situation and being up is the fact that the other team puts that "little" extra effort into getting the ball that they didn't put earlier. The team that is leading will start to rush things a little too much, and their decision making get's thrown a little. I'm sure that is what happened last night at the end of the game, although with the stupid ESPN coverage I didn't get to see it. This team, from what I've seen, doesn't really have much of a problem breaking a press. The one weakness that I see in this team is that sometimes they rely on the outside shot too much, and they don't attack inside enough. Now, I'm not saying by throwing into the post and having her make a move. I am talking with dribble penetration and making the post defense collapse. That was my problem with Sundays game. There was a lot of time being taken off of the clock before we made that first pass or penetration off the dribble inside the three point line. But I think that we should be just fine on Saturday, our key is being able to hit shots. Defensively I like the way that this team plays.
