ANN ARBOR -- Michigan's search for a new coach returned home.
Michigan officials had an on-campus interview with Wisconsin-Green Bay coach Kevin Borseth on Tuesday according to the Green Bay Press-Gazette. It was Borseth's second interview for the job.
Eastern Michigan coach Suzy Merchant also has interviewed twice for the coaching position that opened last month with the retirement of Cheryl Burnett.
Burnett had a four-season record of 35-83, including 10-20 this season.
Merchant had her second interview at the Final Four in Cleveland on Monday with associate athletic director Bitsy Ritt, who is in charge of the job search.
Athletic director Bill Martin was not present at Merchant's interview. It is uncertain if he attended Borseth's interview Tuesday.
Merchant, 38, has a 144-90 record in eight seasons at EMU, guiding the Eagles to three consecutive 20-victory seasons and postseason tournament spots from 2004-06. She was on maternity leave this season.
Borseth, 52, is 216-62 in nine seasons at Wisconsin-Green Bay, including 29-4 this season. Wisconsin-Green Bay had won 26 games before a 94-70 loss to Connecticut in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Wisconsin-Green Bay led, 40-38, at the half.
Ritt is expected to have a coach in place within the next 10 days.
