This only reaffirms what we already knew! Once again, congratulations are in order for Coach Miller and his staff, along with all of the ladies on the team! A fantastic run!

Great thing to see coming back to Ohio from Tampa. I miss the 84 degrees and sun already. What's up with this snow stuff?

Sweet 16, #15...what an awesome feeling it is knowing our women's team was one of THEE best in all the land. Being ranked higher than OSU is just a little sweeter yet. :-D

AWESOME SEASON!!!

A little fun. Predict the game score, BG-OSU, on a neutral floor with all players healthy.

I hate to say it, but with a healthy Brandie Hoskins, I actually think OSU might win the battle between BG and OSU. Living in C-bus I read all the pub about the OSU women and read all the pub on BG (yes the big D had some articles and I read some of the stuff on the Blade's website). So I am not being biased. OSU had better overall size and speed. BG had better ball handling. It would have been a close game, but I think OSU would have pulled it off.

BG had the better tournament run because they were all healthy and could adapt to the loss of key players due to injuries and foul trouble better. Plus, having a trip to E. Lansing versus going to Stanford helped BG. I say the same on the Men's side, if Miami had stuck closer to home and played in Chicago, Columbus, or Lexington, instead of Spokane, I think they could have pulled off a first round upset and possibly a second round game and played a little more respectible.

I also think BG will fair better next year with the signing of Lauren Prochaska from Jonathan Alder. She is a great player (and very easy on the eyes).

BG was healthy? Whit Taylor and Sarah Clapper were sidelined with knee injuries and back up PG Jasmine McCall exited the program just before the tournament started. That left Curt Miller with 7 dependable players, one of whom (Liz Honnegar) was playing on bad ankle.

BG made a run in the tournament because the 7 women we had are pretty damn good basketball players.

I also feel it necessary to point out that as the team was leaving for one of the NCAA games, one of the team members said something to the effect that Megan Thorburn (i think it was her) had rolled her ankle in practice. Probably no more than normally happens at practice but still, with only 7 real options to play, anything becomes kind of a big deal.

BG would have won. Period. BG was the better TEAM this season. Go ask Indiana who was better.

Who's to say who would have won? That's why we play them, right? Obviously these were two quality teams this year, though the final rankings have correctly identified the top team in Ohio IMHO.
