Volleyball on a 3 match slide...

Post by Falconfreak90 »

BG goes 0-2 over the weekend losing 3-0 to WMU and 3-2 to EMU. What's worse is both matches were at AA! BG has lost 4 of 5 and now stand at 13-11, 6-6 MAC. BG travels to Kent Sat and Akron Sunday.

Mike -- BG dropped their match at Kent yesterday but the slide ended today at Akron. Michelle and I went up because a Wooster girl plays for Akron (Molly Rutledge). BG won in three games. I don't have the exact scores but BG got a much-needed win today. Volleyball is actually fun to watch. They have a home game next Saturday night after the Marshall football game, so Michelle and I are probably going to stick around for that.

Good deal Ed....BG now 14-12, 7-7 in the MAC. Hey, if the boys' grandma ends up going to the football game, she and Dana will meet us at the Doyt. Maybe I can stick around for the volleyball match as well?? I'll see.

I would have gone today to Akron but it was my parents' 40th Anniversary party in Dover.

Up next for the Falcons is the final week of the regular season before the Mid-American Conference Tournament makes its way to Anderson Arena on Nov. 19-21. The upcoming week will feature a road match with Oakland (Nov. 10) and two home contests with Marshall (Nov. 12) and Buffalo (Nov. 13). All three matches are scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.

I'd love the Falcons to pull it all together since BG is playing host to the MAC tournament. Nothing like using the home court advantage. Sounds like several players are starting to turn things up a bit as the season nears its end.
