Slagle sounds like our replacement for Achter.

Gotta love this quote. "Jess is an outstanding guard that chose BGSU over numerous offers including Iowa and Michigan State of the Big Ten," said Miller. I have to say , Coach Miller is quite the recruiting monster.

3rd Best Center in the state + 5th best 2-guard in the state + proven all-MAC transfer G/F = More MAC Championships.

Yeah, just a little while ago actually.

Heck, the fun is JUST beginning!! What a great bit of news to read...
And BOTH are honor roll students and National Honor Society. Damn, sign Coach Miller to a 20 year extension and give him Ribeau's crib NOW!!!!

I think Tracy Pontius is the replacement for Kate Achter at the point. I thought Slagel is a 2 guard, although I suppose it is possible she could be a combo guard.

I heard that she could play both positions as Pontius is gonna need a back up at pg for next year. Besides I really meant that Slagle looks like Kate's replacement as far as style of play, it sounds like Slagle's game is much like Achter's but I guess we'll see eventually.

I love these two signees. Geise will, eventually, be a player. Offensively skilled. Slagle is a two guard/wing type kid. The key on Slagle, as noted, is she turned down the Big Ten. She wants to play for a great school, for a winner and give her family and friends a chance to watch her play. She may become a teacher and what school is better? The answer- none!
Gee, I bet Suzy Merchant thought she no longer had to worry about outrecuiting BG. Wrong- Slagel says yes to BG and no thanks to MSU and other Big Ten schools.
Go Falcons!

Is Merchant with MSU now? I must have slept through that one!
This sounds like a phenomenal incoming group. Is it possible that Curt could stay here and build a national powerhouse without the pressure of a "big time" school? With the way he's recruiting, I'd say hell yes! Plus, if he's here long enough, don't we have to name something after him? That should be a part of the next contract talks!

I sure hope Coach Miller thinks so. I definitely think Miller can build a national powerhouse here at BG with the way he's recruiting. I think deeper and deeper runs in the NCAA Tourney are in our future with Miller at the helm.
