Prochaska scores 20 , Kate with 14. Offense was very sluggish throughout the game but overall D was stout to secure the victory. It wasn't pretty but still a win on the road for this young squad. Next up Belmont on Sunday at 5pm.

Prochaska and Kate had more than half the points combined. I know it's early and the team is young, but the scoring needs to be more balanced. Nevertheless, a road win is key and I hope they can put away Belmont with a solid performance!

I'd rather win ugly than lose pretty. Good road win...and if our D can play like that consistently, we'll be in good shape.

2-0 so far! GO FALCONS!!!

I see your point.....not 100% certain I agree though. You can't force balance. If the shots aren't falling for some, you need to find out who's are and go with them. In general, you are very correct but on a game to game basis, sometimes it's in the best interest to allow 1 or 2 players to take over in order to win. It seems to me, and yes, it's early, that this team has 3 or 4 players who will be able to fill that role when needed. Heck, for all we know, they have 6 or 7 who can fill that role!!! ;-)

It is encouraging to see scoring coming from different players . . .

Findlay - Scoring lead by Whitney Taylor
Valpo - Lead by Goldsberry
Lipscomb - Lead by Prohaska
Belmont - Lead by Achter

As the season progresses and the young players gain experience, the balance will come.
