Kate scores 29pts. Had a nice day from Uhl rebounding and general overall hustle. Next game is this Sat. in double header with the men taking on Temple at 2 and the women taking on St. Bonaventure at 7.

Actually, Kate had a career high of 29 points, with 25 coming in the second half. She was 15 of 17 from the free throw line.
Jen Ulh had career highs of 17 points and 8 rebounds.

Oops , I was a pt off. A very nice day from Jen Uhl as well with 17pts ,8rebs.

I didn't realize she had that many. My audio cut out on the post game show , so I missed a bit of the stats. Seems every game a new freshman steps it up and that bodes very well for us later on in the season.

This team needs to be ranked badly.
No votes in the AP and only 3 on ESPN's poll.
With the freshman stepping up, this program will remain strong for many years . Im excited.

Yeah, I kinda agree but it won't happen till we beat a ranked opponent. I don't know how far out we are but its gonna take a while before we'd crack the rankings unless we could beat ND who should be highly ranked by the time we play them. If we're still undefeated ,a win there could bump us in , but with a loss and we'd have to win about 95-98% of our remaining games to sneak in near the end of the season. Thats assuming we are in the 40's-50th right now.

Well, we'll see where we stand when this week's polls come out. I think most people were expecting a dropoff this year with our seniors gone, but at the very least we've started very well.

Actually I prefer them hovering under the radar. Don't want to create even more of a target on their backs, especially since they are a young team. Just play the games and it will all shake out.

It doesn't help that our last three opponents are 1 - 10. The next three are 9 and 1.

I suspect that Kate will break this career high at least one more time this season...maybe a couple.
I like seeing that kind of game out of Uhl. The mono killed her in terms of being to establish to the coaches just how good she is. She's the one I thought would start at the 4 rather than Crystal. We'll be a much better team in the long run with Jen playing more minutes...whether off the bench or as a starter. As she gets even stronger, I suspect Frosh of the Year will be a race between her and Prochaska.

This team does not deserve to be ranked right now. It's great to start 3-0, and do it convincingly, but we still have a lot to learn about this team.

well said!!!
I do think we will all like what we eventually learn about them, but we need to see them play against the tougher opponents and I can't wait to see how they respond to the grind of conference play.

I agree....rankings are great but as long as the team keeps winning and growing? Fine with me!
Great start at 3-0. GO BG!

Exactly. We certainly aren't deserving of a ranking at this point anyway. If we continue to play well , steadily improving and we beat the tough teams the rankings will come eventualy.

isn't it really nice though to be able to have discussions about a 3-0 start and allow positive thoughts to creep into our minds regarding this team instead of.....oh no, we're in for a LONG season with all of these Freshmen!!
Personally, I hope they don't get ranked at any point. Just let them play ball as well as they can and be as successful as they can and, as Dayons_Den said, stay under the radar without the bullseye!!!

I agree, as much as my inner falcon wants us to be ranked, it wouldn't serve the team's best interest at this juncture with all the youth. I'd prefer we crack the rankings later on in the season.
