WOW....WHAT a performance...
Opposing coaches in the MAC have gotta be dreading the name "BOWLING GREEN" again. BG completely crushed Kent State tonight as Jake and I just got back, 90-64, and it wasn't that close. I'm sure everyone knows about Whitney Taylor's shooting performance...8 of 9 from 3 and 10-11 overall from the field. But Lauren P nailed 4 of 5 from 3 and Lindsey G hit 2 of 2. BG went 16 for 23 beyond the arc and the Flashes still dared us to shoot from 3.
BG had 25 assists to Kent's 12 and shot 54% from the field for the game.
BUT, I thought the real story to the game was our D. It was as stifling and crushing as I've ever seen. Kent couldn't do anything inside until later in the game when the BG starters came out with about 11 min left. At that time, BG was up 74-34 or something like that. BG forced TWENTY FOUR turnovers and was relentless...LOVE that effort. BG will be a VERY difficult team to beat playing like that. All 14 players saw at least 6 minutes of action and, while it got a bit sloppy, the back ups played hard and are learning.
Saw Casey McDowell and Liz Honegger at the game....
BG 14-3, 3-0 MAC....TOGETHER WE ATTACK!!!!!!!!!!
FOUR PEAT
Damn, what a team....

I'm no math major, but isn't that about 70% from 3pt. range? That's ridiculous.
Good job Falcons! Keep it up!

LOL! That girl basically sat with her hands holding her head up...not much to screech about.
The Screech everyone was hearing was Jake.
AAF,
I think BG had easily, 150-200? The lower side behind the benches was packed with BG fans 2/3's of the way down...almost behind Kent's bench.
For a mid week game at 7, I was impressed. But, BG does have a great fan base behind this team and program.
I've never seen anything like the shooting perfomance from Whitney and the rest of the team. SIXTEEEN FOR TWENTY THREE from beyond the arc????
That is Xbox stuff!!! And I guarantee every 3 pt shot Whitney made? Nothing but net...the only time she hit the rim was on her last attempt which she missed.
One more thing...for those that wanna diss women's hoops and pass it off as garbage, you would have changed your mind on the spot last night. Between the crushing defense we play to the explosive offense, this team is loaded with ATHLETES that can play ball. This is simply EXCELLENT BASKETBALL. Whether they're women or not doesn't matter. Plus, if you think you can beat any of them one on one, go for it.
YOU ROCK, FALCONS!!!! WHIP BUFFALO

FF said it all. What a game
It was just too much fun watching Whit shoot & score. You could see the ball was just going to hit nothin' but net all the threes were like that. I wouldn't want to face this team defense.
For those who have yet to see a game---???? ----- next @ AA is Miami. It's basketball at its best-- female or male. Just watch the athlete in action. ANYBODY going to Buffalo? I'm up for some more fun.!!!!!

I agree
Guys,
I took my family up to campus from Columbus last Saturday to watch the women play Ohio. I agree with the athlete assessment, BG seemed to just know what they were doing on the floor. Very well coached and those girls play their butts off. My daughter's loved it and my wife and I, both 1992 Grads, loved visiting the campus and actually through my wife's Dad, 1969 Grad and played Golf for the Falcons, was able to get a tour for us of the Sebo Center!
Awesome, awesome, awesome. We closed out the night watching my oldest daughter, Maddie on the floor after the game getting her Media Guide signed by all the players she could find. Spoke real quick the Curt Miller and wished him well. It is a great time to be a BG grad with all the new buildings and how the athletic department is doing what they can to pump up any and all of the sports.
I read in the Dispatch that Ohio Women's B-Ball beat whomever they played last night by like twenty! While at one point it was close during our game, all of a sudden, BG just took it to them and put it out of reach.
I love the intensity that Curt Miller brings to this team, he is never satisfied until the game is over and even then I think he tries to accent the positive and take a look at what was done wrong and correct it. Go Falcons....4 in a row. I am already thinking about trying to take the family to Cleveland for the MAC in March!
