BG vs Miami(Oh) Tues. 1-22-08 Anerson Arena 7 pm.....
BG concludes the first East Div. go around with Miami Tues. Miami started out the year with the blowout loss to ND 98-50. They have wins over Temple, IUPUI, Radford, Cleveland St. , Youngstown St., Robert Morris, and Wright St. Losses are to IPFW, Murray St., Chattanooga, Illinois St. Buffalo (Mac), OU(Mac) and the aforementioned ND loss.
We should cruise to victory here.
Oh yeah, almost forgot, there will be the Convo Project info session at 5pm prior to the Women's game tomorrow at Olscamp Hall, room # TBA.

We all know Falconboy can't spell, he's admitted it himself. No need to rub it in.PGY Tiercel wrote:Can some please tell me when we decided to skip Tues, January 22, 2008. Directions to the new Anerson Arena would be appreciated as well.
Okay nevermind. Falconboy, edit your posts you suck at spelling!!
On a more thread-related note, our ladies just don't lose MAC games. BG rolls on with another victory.

It was. Anytime we would scratch into the lead, BG would be back down by 11.
I don't blame officials for much and am not going to now, but wow, tonight was terrible! Both sides of the ball.
Seeing how they bounce back from this loss is going to show a lot about this team and what they can do this season though.

This was just a tough night for the ladies. It seemed like there were times during the game when nothing would fall for them. We were down big early in the 2nd half, then rallied to pull within 2 at 40-38. I would have bet anything we were going to take the lead and win at that point, the momentum had completely swung around our way and the crowd was starting to go crazy. Then Miami hit a few threes and we were down big again. Maybe if we had gotten the lead it would've broken the Redhawks.
And yes, as Metz said, the officials were horrendous tonight, especially in the late part of the first half and early 2nd half. They just absolutely refused to call traveling on Miami on a few possessions in a row late in the 1st half, and the whole arena was chanting "3" before they finally called a 6-second, err, 3-second violation before halftime.
It's not the end of the world though. As long as the ladies don't get down on themselves, they should do fine against Ball State this weekend.

Curt's Comments
I thought that Curt Miller's comments afterward were very interesting...and revealing...he praised MU's "seniors", one had 27 pts, one had FIFTEEN defensive rebounds!
He referred to BG as he MAC's "evil empire" who's going to get everyone's best shot...and felt that fatigue for a young falcon team played a big part in this game...
Couldn't hear the question, but he mentioned that SOMEONE is playing with a CRACKED TAILBONE but there's "nothing they can do but keep her as pain free and comfortable as possible...anyone know who he's referring to? Said she played a lot of minutes...and Kate only scored six...hopefully, it's not her as she'd be a big loss in the leadership end of things to say the least.
