Nicholls St. average 100 people a game. That is sad.

EMU's mens basketball team had 350 people show up a few weeks ago.

Sadly, BG can't cast attendance stones toward Ypsi.
It is, however, improving and showing future promise.

I'm pretty sure that even at our recent low point we didn't get down to 350. there's about 900 people who are always there.

We don't have attendance figures in the 300's, that's for sure. Another reason why I say that EMU sucks.

Yeah I was just looking at EMU's game notes for our game tomorrow, and they have only had 3 home games with over 1000 people (home opener vs Brown, Detroit, and WMU)

They are the only team in the MAC with less average attendance than BG. We average a whopping 450 more people on average than EMU.
Cast stones at your own risk.
Being this is about our WBBALL attendance, I'm very pleased with that.
Home Attendance against EMU

Tonight's attendance of 1,763 helped to bump our average up about 20 people to 1,585.
Coach Miller also mentioned in the post-game audio that the crowd "was phenominal tonight.. and kept willing us". Thank you everyone who showed up to support this team, especially when over 60% of the points were scored by freshmen. The moral support I believe really helped gain the confidence crucial for the oncoming games.

Yep, the crowd was crucial down the stretch. We have a chance here to unseat UT as the attendance leader as long as we keep getting great crowds. I personally would love to see atleast 2k-2500 every night.

I think if somehow Ali, Liz, Carin, and the whole sweet 16 gang was back for another year in 2007-08, the crowds at AA would be absolutely huge this year, possibly over 3500 a game. I think that most fans were expecting a bit of a dropoff this season with so many players leaving, but even with that expectation the crowds are still averaging ~1600 a game, which isn't too bad. Next year the crowds will be even better, especially if we pull off a MAC 4-peat. There's actually a very small part of me that hopes we don't win it this year so our fans don't get jaded by success, but that pales in consideration to the awesomeness of our ladies if they are able to do it.
What I don't understand is why our men can't get crowds, even this late into a season that is clearly better than the last few years under Dakich. It's almost like fans think losing is inevitable. Based on the crowd yesterday afternoon, it seems like all of Bowling Green expected us to get crushed by Akron, because our turnout was awful.

Yeah, actually I'd love that even more. I set my number a little low based on realistic expectations. My dream is seeing the Student Section packed with loud rowdy students for a women's game like the mens team had during the AD, Stacey and Mcleod years.

Since when do you have realistic expectations?
