Glad to see Curt Miller got his "girl"...I've felt we were lacking a bit of size when you think of playing the OSU's of the world, with their 6'5" kids... With 3 seniors on this year's team...it would seem that he has 2 more scholarships to grant... Hopefully, he'll land a couple more quality kids.

I believe they have given out all of the scholarships, it just hasn't been made public. Along with this girl, I know they got a girl from Dayton Chaminade-Julienne and a girl from Detroit as well.

Yes, all spots are supposedly accounted for.

There were actually 5 open ones. Women's basktball is allowed 15 scholarships (as opposed to the men's side which are allowed 13, although both can have a roster of 15) by the NCAA. BG had two open up in the summer with the transfers of Nowakowski and Marissa Smith. Add in the three seniors, and you have the 5 spots.

All who are expected to sign were mentioned in this Blade article:

Brewer, Thanks for the update...today's Blade included an article evidently that the other 3 girls HAVE signed with BG...I guess my only concern, with this very young team, is that we are still lacking in size.... it seems that there are more 6'3 + ladies out there than ever before, but we concentrated on 5'6" + guards.... Was hoping to see at least ONE "big girl" to help in the middle.

Where are the centers????

Yeah, I noticed that too. We seem to be leaning tad too heavy on guards this recruiting year. We're freakin loaded at that postion. We need athletic post players that are at least 6'2 or better if at all possible. Doesn't Kelly Kapfur leave after this year? Don't get me wrong , some of these guards that Miller picked for next year do indeed look like really good players, especially Goldsberry and this Deprice Taylor. But to pick up only one post player and one at only 6'0 at that seems a little odd to me. :? Is Coach Miller trying develop a team of point guards, 2 guards and smalll forwards and thats it? I know Coach Milller likes run alot up and down the floor , BUT you must have a strong inside game if your going win consistently. You can not live by the 3 shot alone. You saw how we tried to do that against OSU and see the result. Not that we really have a post game to begin that would have made a difference but you see my point. Gosh, how many bunnies 1 foot from the basket are we going to miss this year. Saw way too many of those against Premier All-Stars. :ugh:

GO FALCONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BEAT UIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :supz:
