Unfortunately the Falcons went 0-2 earlier tonight. The women's soccer team put up a real good fight before being defeated 2-0. The women's basketball team had a bad night, losing 89-41. I didn't see that coming at all. I knew Ohio State's women were good, but I didn't see them beating BG that badly. They are tough. Coach Miller said after the game that OSU is a legitimate Final Four contender. BG started off great, like a house on fire, and raced out to a 14-8 lead with a variety of nice moves and shots, then the roof kind of caved in. BG had to sag some to try and take away Davenport and OSU's inside game, then they started hitting threes and getting some fast break baskets, and it was all downhill from there. I just hope some fans don't see that score and think the worst because this BG team is still going to be very good and still has a great chance to win the MAC and get to the NCAA tournament. Tonight just wasn't their night. OSU is just real good, and they were deep. I thought the game would be a lot closer. I guess I underestimated Ohio State a little. BG will be back. You can count on that. These ladies are winners and they will be fine. It will be a while before they see a team the caliber of Ohio State. Hopefully they can win the MAC and get another crack at the Lady Buckeyes.
