Breske's foul troubles

As many have stated on this forum before, Breske needs to be on the floor for BG to be at their best. I haven't seen many games, I've listened to most on the radio. What is Tara doing to get into so mucn foul trouble? Is it her being over-aggressive or are the officials giving her a raw deal? Let's hear some opinions.

She gets called for 'over the back' quite a lot. She is taller, stronger, and infinately more athletic than most of her competition and she plays like she is. I don't think the refs realize that she actually can jump over people from behind and take rebounds and that's when they blow the whistle.

I think Tara Breske made a bet with Otis Polk that she could get more fouls called on her than he could. Word is that he quickly accepted.

Tara is all of the above- aggressive, strong, athletic. I personally believe the refs have a problem understanding what they are seeing at times- Tara is not real tall for a post so some of what she does seems unusual in MAC bball.
Refs have scouting reports on games too- not to cause them to make one call or another- just for info to be in the right spots, etc. And foul outs are in our stat sheet for 30.
If Tara could eliminate the one reach "bad" foul a game, it would be good. In Oxford, she made a small misplay and fouled trying to make up for it. Far be it from me to criticize her though- she is an outstanding player and a delight to watch.
Go Falcons!

She should do American Gladiators or MMA....my trainer used to be a muay thai fighter...she'd kill to get a prospect like Breske

I'd have to agree with that assessment. I think Mac refs just don't know how to judge or gauge what Tara is doing in the post vs taller opponents a lot of the time. I think if we saw refs from some other conference like say the SEC or Big East and the like , you'd get refs who are much more used to seeing Breske's type of strength and athleticism. Luckily for us Tara fouling out hasn't hurt us too much recently with Jen Uhl giving quality mins at the C position in relief. Some time in the future I think if Albert grows even stronger at the C position , Tara should be able to slide back to the 4 and maybe shield her from having to guard other teams C most of the time.

No matter how strong Tara is and how horrible the refs are, she needs to learn to adjust to them throughout the game. She is a must to have on the floor in the tourney.

No argument there either.
