OK who's going? We need a big crowd for this game too. Kate & Whit's last regular season tilt. Get out of work early or have Falcon flu that only Women's Basketball BG style will cure. I have 4 people crossing the state with me or I'd offer spaces. I'll probably sit in the way-back of my wagon--cargo area & let someone else drive 4 awhile.

I think its practically a foregone conclusion that there will be more BG fans there than Akron fans.

Yeah, whenever BG women go on the road to the Cleveland area we do seem to bring more fans than the host team. I guess thats why all the Mac Tourney games have been well attended as well. Hopefully I'll make my debut at the Mac Tourney this year as I will try and make it to the Championship game when our girls get there.

Watch for Joyce and me...as we plan to come when she gets home from work...Question....are there any places NEAR AU's campus where one can get something to eat? Hot dogs at the arena aren't going to make it...but I can't recall any places near Rhodes Arena.

Have the women already clinched the MAC title or do they need to win to do so? I am a little confused and rather than going to bgsufalcons.com, I want to hear it from the fans!

We're one game ahead of Miami and we split the season series with them. I'm not sure what the tiebreaker is beyond that, but Miller said in his press conference on Saturday that we clinched the #1 seed in the tourney with our win against Buffalo. I'll take his word for it.

Moot point though - I don't think Akron will hang around very long the way we're playing.

clinched a share of the regular season title after beating Buffalo, win it outright with a win at Akron

I don't know of any near RA...with the exception of McDonald's. You might want to stop at Steeles Corners Road off 8...there is a Damon's and Texas Longhorn. Also, the Cuyahoga Falls exit off 8 has a lot of places.

If you're gonna be around Steels Corners, go right by the Damons and take the Corners all the way to State rd. and take a left then keep going until you see On Tap at the corner of State and Bath. Or if you want something closer to UA, there is a Swenson's drive in right off of RT. 8 about ten minutes before UA's campus. I can't remember the road name of the exit, Independence maybe? If you have never been to On Tap or Swensons, they are possibly the best food in the area. On Tap has THE BEST wings around. Swensons burgers are UNBEATABLE. If you are planning on going to either of those places you can PM me cause I'll be home for the game and I havn't had the chance to go to either since xmas.

Niz (and Mike)....thanks for the info...I'm aware of most of the places you've mentioned....haven't been to Swenson's in a LONG time..so it might be a possible...
Biggest problem for us right now is that our sump pumps crashed during the nite and left us with about 16" in of water in our basement, due primarily to the quick melt of the 1ft of snow followed by a steady rain all nite. Had to have our local fire dept bring in some pumps to get rid of most of the water...now have replaced both pumps but it's going to be a LOOONG day tomorrow with the cleanup to follow...hopefully, i'll be able to do most of it by the time Joyce is coming home from work, so we can go to AU.

I can't believe our women have to wait until the last game of the season to clinch the outright regular season championship...didn't we have this locked up in December the past couple seasons?

Freak, I think you'll have a lot of time to chant in the 2nd half. The game isn't likely to be close beyond 10 minutes to play. Akron is BAD.
