I haven't heard either, but...............I did hear last year that the other Sylvania player (can't remember her name) for Akron wanted to transfer here too. If I remember, she is about 6'2" and athletic, but I have heard nothing lately.

Coach Miller did tell me at the Cleveland Barnstorming event that "BG will have a major D1 progam transfer coming in this fall." He did not elaborate.

Rollo,

I need to introduce myself at the next Cleveland event. I was at Mapleside a couple weeks ago and had a great chance to rap with Coach Miller for a good deal of time. He was jacked about this recruit coming in...couldn't drop a name, of course, but still.

Mike,
From a VERY reliable source....no knowledge of this transfer either...and this source usually knows a lot about WBB. Perhaps she didn't transfer or couldn't get a release from former school? Either way, it's fun to speculate...all we have to do is find out WHICH schools have kids transfering out and we'll figure it out, right? 8-)

I am hearing some very long distance news on the transfer front. Maybe we will get some 09-10 help from afar. Confirmation tough to come by.

In any event, I certainly am excited for next season. Will be a different team with the new point, but we have some very good players to work with there. Our players are working so hard that we had a certain key player shooting on the old outdoor courts between the quads while Buckeye Boys State had the gym. Now that's dedication- never miss a day!

WBB freshmen arrived in time for summer school. Maribeth Geise is...tall. Looked like a potential helper in the post. Incoming point Victoria McGowan is, as we know, not very big, but looked quick even in a t shirt and jeans. Quite a HS career at Inkster. PG/SG/W (yes, she's that versatile) Jessica Slagle from Lehman Catholic in west central Ohio was all smiles at o-Reg check in. Her enthusiam and competiveness will be a help.

Who knows how much they'll play- it will be up to them and how the team develops overall. But it looks like a good class.
