THREE NEW RECRUITS! ?

BG has announced the signing of three recruits for the women's basketball team for next year.... all three look like they'll be great additions to the team, all being in the 6 ft. range height wise, and with some outstanding HS credentials...

My only question.... with only ONE senior on the current team, how do we fit in Three recruits? I know that women's BB has a larger roster limit than the men, but didn't think there'd be any more room after the two transfers were announced earlier...

Either way, we're still the best LOOKING group of players I've seen....(yeah, I'm still a dirty old man.... when I stop looking at pretty girls I know I'm in trouble). At least that's what I tell Joyce all the time. :D

Chrissy Steffen is from nearby Carmel. That is where my wife went to high school. I will have to check out how she does this year. I agree with 61 on what was said earlier. :-)

This sounds like a really outstanding group. Getting that athletic length on the wings gives us such a huge advantage over the rest of the MAC, and helps us match up size-wise against the bigger schools.

isn't there a walk on as well?

I thought Simone Eli from Genoa was going to be a preferred walk on as well?

I remember someone bringing this up before but I don't remember if it was ever confirmed.

Following people around who ref volleyball allowed me to see Papenfuss smack a ball. If that's any indication of her jumping ability & intensity----well look for some more fun in 09/10. Glad to have all three as Falcons.
BUT we just finished the exhibition games, have this season ahead of us. Go Women!!!!! BEAT the Owls then the Crusaders. Come to AA 2 enjoy the ring/banner ceremony 8-) then take out Lipscomb. :D
GO!!!!!BG!!!!!! BG __ BG ___ Roll! Along!

That is true. I believe the coaches are not allowed to publicly comment on her until she officially enrolls.

It sounds like we are bringing in some pretty good talent. If I am the AD I want to lock Miller up for a long time to come. He may have something special here. I can't wait to see this team in Greensboro.

Scholarship Questions anwsered.....

You can find Coach Miller audio comments here.

He basically said that our two transfers Hannegan and Nurse came here knowing that if no one left the program they would be walk-ons. So we're getting a walk-ons from the Pac-10 and the A10. Wow. All I can say is next year's class and the year after are looking real frighting in a good way.

I covered a few of her games last year. She's a bit undersized, but she can score in a lot of ways, she's pretty aggressive and she plays defense.
