ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTEEN POINTS AGAINST THE MASTADONS?!?!?!

I don't care who the opponent is, for a women's basketball team at any level to light up the scoreboard like that is truly an event to be remembered. Looks to me like we've gotten over the lambasting OSU gave us and are ready to give the same to others.

Great job ladies, and keep it up! Let's take it all the way to the Gund and the tourney!!!!!!!!!

Congrats ladies! Way to bounce back from a tough loss. I hope this is a preview of the future.

Another thought.........a women's team nicknamed the "Mastadons" kind of scares me.

Good game by the ladies in that game. I was really worried by that pressure that the IPFW was going to give us. But we sure exploited their breakdowns in defense alot. Lets keep it up!!!! :D

Just out of curiosity, did anyone happen to listen to the Women's game at IPFW?

Yea, I listened to parts of it.

IPFW runs an style similar to what Loyola Marymount did in the late 80's/early 90s with Bo Kimble and the Late Hank Gathers. They run an extremely aggressive press and force a fast paced game. They shoot usually within the first pass on the offense and they sub 5 players at a time, every few minutes like hockey line changes. I'm not a big fan of it. Sure, it makes for a lot of points, but if the other team has any fundamentals or endurance they will beat you, because they are getting better looks than you. Loyola seems to be the only team that really mastered it.

Thanks for listening....I called it on WBGU, hope it sounded OK. It was tough to stay on top of things with such a fast moving game. I think I mentioned the shot clock twice, maybe 3 times at the most. Rarely was a shot taken by IPFW with under 20 left on the shot clock. You'll be able to hear me on a few more men's and women's games on WBGU as the season moves on......any feedback anyone can offer is appreciated, even if its criticism....it's ok I can take it.

Hey, WBGU does a great job. I saw on bgsufalcons.com that you guys are doing all the games except the two in New Mexico. That is awesome. It's great to have a chance to listen to all the away games. From what I heard, you did fine. Doing play by play on the radio is harder than you would think, especially when it is moving so fast. Gotta admit, Brian George is my favorite. Your the man, George...go Browns.
