BG beat Hartford 56-52. It was a tough, grind it out game. Both teams played good defense. Tracy Pontius lead the way with 14 points, and Niki McCoy had 11 rebounds.

Lauren Prochaska and Jen Uhl both had 11 points. Great to see Uhl have a game like this.

Very good defensive effort by BG. Hartford's two athletic posts where beasts down low and we did a pretty good job on them until way late in the game but we held on. A very good win for us here. Now the ladies go on the road for a tournament in Dayton. Gardner-Webb is up first followed by a Dayton team that will likely want revenge for last year's defeat in AA in the WNIT.

Gutsy home win over a quality opponent. Looking at the box score, must have been a pretty good defensive game from both teams.
