Who all will be making the trip down to Dayton for the tournament next weekend? I'll be there, and I'm bringing a few friends... Let's show UD that we take our home court advantage on the road, too!

I will be there both days, but I'll be driving up from Cincy since I'll be back home for break when these games roll around, it will be nice only having to go an hour up and back instead of two hours down and two back up to BG

yeah! that's nice! same here b/c I'm from Fairfield. a lot nicer going 45 minutes to Dayton than 2:45 up to BG for me!
I wish I could go but I'll be going on a small Christmas break "vacation"
but I'll be there in spirit!
Gruber - cheer really loud for me

I was in the house for Hank Finkel night at UD Arena...circa 1975 I believe.

Maybe this isn't news to many people here, but this was something I didn't know. From the UD site:
A little more than a year after the construction began, UD Arena was a reality. It opened on December 6, 1969, as the Flyers faced Bowling Green. BG's Jim Connally hit the Arena's first shot, followed by Dayton's first hoop, a jumper from Pat Murnen. The Flyers led 39-27 at half and pushed it to 43-27 before a 21-8 BG tear. From there, it was a dogfight. Senior (and future UD Hall of Famer) George Janky, who had 26 points and 15 rebounds, sank a pair of free throws with 29 seconds left to give UD a 72-68 lead. The Falcons' Bob Quayle hit a shot at 0:17 and then stole the inbounds pass and missed a last-second shot which would have sent it into overtime.

I met Tech83 and one of his sons at a nice little spot just off the UD campus this past summer. Great subs and the overall menu looked good, I just can't remember the name. But with the bridge out, it would make a bit of a drive around downtown.
There's a Hooters on I-75 and York Rd. as you first enter Dayton (from the north).
For those not familiar with Dayton and UD, the arena is just to the east of I-75 on Edwin Moses Blvd. (I believe it's exit 52).

i'm not too familiar with Dayton, but I'm sure we can find some place near the arena.
I actually found out I'll be back from my "vacation" a bit early so I can make the game on monday!
see you all there! GO FALCONS!

What a great crowd turnout today in Dayton, looked more like Anderson Arena South then UD Arena, lets do it again tomorrow. For those who don't know BG won 79-56, with Dayton native Lindsey Goldsberry leading the way with 18 points. Dayton won as well, so its a WNIT rematch tomorrow night at 7pm.
GO FALCONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
