I grew to dislike the UT women's basketball team more than any other while at BGSU. I'm not sure I disliked UT fans more than those who followed that rocket team. The pompous strutting they did, and holier than thou players during their short stay at the top of the conference was grating in ways I can't describe. No slide among all the presently lousy UT sports has given me more joy than that of their women's team. Hated is an exactly accurate way to describe how things are between the two programs.

From the look of it, the crowd was exceptional.

Another accurate way to describe things between the two programs, jealousy. We've got the premier program in the MAC, and they want it.

Orr's getting there on the men's side too, the two teams are 17-3 in MAC play so far. That's domination.

Someone more familiar with Anderson Hall than I please help me out here. It was clearly not a sellout but does that number sound low? Sadly, they shut down the only thing I ever liked about the place which was the wierd upper endzone seats which lowers tha available seating, but still, aside from the corners and scattered seats it looked pretty full. Thoughts?

We do accurate counts at BG! ;-) Seriously, I thought it might be 3000 too, but whatever the number was, it was a GREAT crowd, and thanks for the 100-200 from UT for making the trip.

A loud 2,400 in Anderson Arena is as good as twice as many people who sit on their hands.

Glad we could help- I think there were at least that many UT students. Again, not intended as a rip but it didn't appear that there were very many BG students at the game- at least not down where the real fans were, you know, the ones who stand the entire game. Not to start an attendance thread or anything and not to get a debate going about the true nature of fandom even though I stood the entire time. I mean I don't want to stir the pot...

Students were there, though most of them don't usually stand with the unofficial "Student Section" over across from the BG team. It's like that all the time.

I was actually sitting in the higher section across from Toledo's team and had quite a few students up there with me. Most of them tend to sit in the lower sections too, but not all in one place...or standing up.

Honestly I'm just happy the crowd was great, standing or not. Though Toledo's fans did stand alot...even if it meant blocking the view of BG fans :? :-D

I loved watching the frustration of those 5 or so UT fans with facepaint and wigs in the front row. Thanks for making the trip to see UT get owned by BG :-D

My wife is a temporary faculty member at BG and one of the students in her class plays for BG so she wanted to see the game. Mostly she saw the backs of the UT cheerleaders who were standing in front of her so it wasn't just BG fans.

If you're talking about the Blue Crew (the only folks I saw in UT wigs) you need to get back to the optometrist. They wear masks, not face paint- frustration looks just like elation. But I know the feeling -I've enjoyed it many times, just not since the MAC championships in soccer last year. ;-)
