what a game on Sunday, a lot of people actually stood up during the game and that really surprised me, but i am a little disappointed not at the people who stood up during the game but the people sitting behind me from where ever they are from, numerous times i turned around and said c'mon get up!
c'mon get up and yet they just sat there on their butts.
the whole right side of the stands got up more than a couple of times
it kinda reminded me of the House That Roars! the place went wild sunday
that was great. actually pretty much the whole place was standing numerous times except for the high school students that were there. oh well i don't care about that all i care about is Lauren scoring 43 points in the game and also about the women clinching their 5th straight mac east title

Are you one of the 7 people that was standing in the front row of the student's section, acting like a complete idiot? If so, were you standing next to the kid that likes to pop the zits on the back of his neck during the game while he's standing up? Yeah, everybody notices and it's gross.
Otherwise, I'm proud of your support for the team. We got there, sat in the top row in section E behind some guy that had a shirt on that said "You wouldn't understand, it's a Section E thing" and yet sat on his can the entire game with headphones on. I got strange looks when I sang along with Ay-Ziggy-Zoomba. Oh well, those fans must not have realized it's a song to cheer for. Although, some people started to at least pump their fist with the song after I did that, so I guess they weren't all dead.
Yes, I realize this post made no sense, but I don't really care. I rooted for the team as loud as I could, stood up when I needed to, etc. And then I looked at the idiot kids in the student section with pom-poms and running up and down the sidelines, and tried not to laugh at them.

I find that no one wants to be the only person singing Ay-Zig along with the band. If I'm in the stands I have no problem being that guy so I do it as loud as I can. Funny thing is, once one person starts doing it a lot of people around them start doing it also.
To anyone and everyone at the games: Attitudes are contagious, is yours worth catching?

I stand up when I feel like it. i don't take orders from other fans. As a matter of fact, I've purposely stayed seated when someone other than a cheerleader or team member gives the "get up" move.

I want to know who in the athletic department thought it was a good idea to put the poor souls from Bryan High School right behind the students standing in the front row. They were whining and complaining the whole first half that they couldn't see the game. The students didn't sit down, obviously, nor should they have been expected to. This is the type of problem that is caused by not having an actual STUDENT section at Anderson Arena. When you have the students in the first two rows standing on the floor, nobody in the first four rows can see anything sitting down. I guess the ticketing people don't realize this.

I'm really tired of people whining about this, which is why I didn't post anything in the first place.
The begging-for-posts post was even more pathetic.
And FWIW, your grammar hurts my eyes.

IMO the coaches are asking for more noise when they wave their arms. They are not necessarily asking people to stand up. For myself, I can project better sitting down than standing up. Sitting down or standing up just make it positive.

Some people do go to watch the game and that's OK too. At least the space is occupied. Positive cheering is what is wanted by the team and coaching staff.

It looks like, from the pictures, the Stroh Center will have an official student section, so you just have to wait 3 years to get your wish

Those "tickets" the Bryan basketball team had? They weren't reserved seats - - HELLO!! Move somewhere else! I can't imagine the athletic department purposefully placed the HS team in a specific section........

Oh don't worry you weren't the only ones laughing at those two, probably everyone else that was standing was as well. I know when I stand I try and stay as far away as I can from those two.
As for the whole "raising your arms stuff" xtreme, I'm not sure when you or Mr. Orange Wig are gonna learn this but no one is going to respond to you guys doing it, they will respond when the players or coaches do it

Where do you find these crazy emoticons? I certainly feel like vomiting after yet another board topic on basketball attendance
