ESPN Bracketoloty - bg12th seed

Bracketology has us a 12 seed in Chattanooga, Tenn. (March 21) against Vanderbilt (21-7) with a 23 game win streak do we deserve a higher seed. Looking at the records of the teams BG beat duing the streak only 9 have winning records. Is Chattanooga a good location? http://proxy.espn.go.com/ncw/bracketology

Oh man, that would be a great matchup. You know Vandy is still pissed at us.

no, the streak means nothing for the selection/seeding process, for us it comes down to strength of schedule and RPI, neither of which is very good

11/12 seems about right at this point with our SOS. And Chattanoga is not a good location if Vandy is the opponent.

If we run the table and win the tourney, our RPI is probably low 30's, and we might climb to 10ish.

I'd rather be 11/12 than 10/9/8

Looking at the bracket that he has layed out, I think that is the best for us. Neither Vandy or Kansas State are overly athletic. Both teams are fundamental teams that play good team basketball. I would actually be excited if that was how things played out when the real thing comes out. And I think of all the potential #1's, Louisville would be the most likely to get upset by a team of lower potential.

I don't like having a seed for Men's or Women's that puts me in a second round matchup against the #1, #2, or #3 seeds... so avoiding the 8/9, 7/10, and 6/11 matchup is always a good thing in my book.

Exactly, that close to Nashville, they'd almost be playing a home game.

If it is in Nashville, BGSU would be almost playing a home game. We can get there from here. Follow those Falcons!

Jerry Palm of CBS and CollegeRPI.Com has us a #12 seed and playing THE Ohio State Suckeyes in Columbus. I would like nothing more than go to CBus and show that time who the BEST DAMN WOMENS TEAM IN OHIO IS. They claim they have the Best Damned Band in the Land but we have the BEST TEAM!!

I would absolutely love a chance to take down the OSU women as well.

Should that scenario come to fruition, and we should take them down in their arena, one would think they may be open to coming here to play next season for a chance at revenge in our arena...

Probably not though. My mid-major half says after we beat them we will never play them again outside of the NCAA tournament.

I'm still hoping for South Bend as I already have tickets. My dad is an ND alum.

Let's win our conference tourney before we start talking about NCAA tourney seeding. Seriously, let's not get ahead of ourselves. I have a bad feeling that if there is one stumble, we're a high NIT seed. The MAC doesn't get any love. s**t, it took us 23 wins in a row to crack the top 25.

These idiots drive me nuts. A #12 seed translates to overall seeds 48-52, yet BG is in the AP top 25. Does this bother anyone else?

If BG finishes in the AP and gets higher than a #7 seed it's a hose job!
