Up from 27th. I think we'll get in the coaches poll.

Do we deserve to be ranked? Only 9 of our 23 wins are against teams with winning records - all the other wins are against losding record teams. And we are not blowing teams out during the win streak- avg point margin of wins is 17+ points. Love the team but need to upgrade schedule to deserve to be ranked

I tend to think that BG is getting the best effort of every MAC team right now. As CMU's coach said, they looked at the BG game as the game to make a name for themselves. You can probably say the same for most of the other teams in the league. Almost every team has players that the BG coaches highly respect, and in many cases, also recruited for BG, so while their records may not be good, they are not without talent.

at this point i think we deserve to be ranked. yeah the teams we beat are not the greatest, but for a team to keep coming out to win after win, i think it's time to be ranked. If this question was asked after only 13 games or so in a row i would say no, but this is a good team and i am sure we could beat most of the teams right now that are ranked.

Ummm....... 17+ points is a blowout. And I think we should be ranked because we have been winning all the ones we are supposed to. You can't ask any more of our team than to win the games

You can only beat who you are scheduled to play. Big conferences schools do not want to play BG.

Like I said in a previous thread the only downside of the sweet 16 run is bigger schools not wanting to play us. Curt did say before the season he was disappointed he couldn't get a bigger name opponent on the schedule

Does the coaches poll usually come out on Tuesdays?

Ok, that's absolutely stupid. ND gets beat and moves up a slot? They are 18-7. Crazy.

ND goes up in the poll after losing is STUPID? Consider that they lost to the #1 team in the country Connecticut by a MINUSCULE 10 points. Have you seen a listing of UConn's slaughters during this season? Their scoring margin is a freaking 32 points.......

Question of the day: Does HOW MUCH you win by or lose by influence the pollsters? Would the media pollsters look at it any differently than the coaches? Does our overtime victories vs. Northern Illinois and Western Michigan become semi-asterisks because they did GO to OT?

Or is the ultimate end result of the W or L THE factor?

Oh I'm sure that how much you win or lose by influences the polls, but the fact remains that ND has lose 3 out of 5 in February. Using that logic we ought to schedul the top 24 teams in the country, we could be 0-24 but as long as we played them close we should be ranked 25.

I'll say it again. Stupid, Stupid, Stupid.
