In the national scheme, BG is presently ranked:
5th in the nation in free throw percentage [this may have changed since last night.]
28th in field goal percentage.
19th in 3pt field goal percentage.
No defensive scoring ranking but that's to be expected with a younger team.
Wow.

5th in free throw %, that is awesome. I believe they were perfect from the line last evening.

And the key point that should scare the life out of the MAC: "...younger team."
Consider the number of future BGSU and MAC H.O.F.'ers that have recently or presently play for the team.
Aside from the pioneer years when BGSU put MAC WBB on the map, this truly is a golden age right now.

Great point, remember this is a "rebuilding year"

Yep - all we lose is Golds. She's awesome, but she's been phased out more and more with all the talent we've brought in. This team has a legit shot at another sweet 16 run next year.

I said as much last year when the comparisons were made between those great Fran Vol teams and the present program.
No contest: Miller is Killer.

Miller is Killer, and I would say that not since Doyt Perry has there been a BGSU coach as universally acknowledged as the absolute best on campus and among his conference peers.
He's the highest paid coach and should be.

Mel Brodt? Won a MAC title, a District NCAA title in cross country, had multiple NCAA champs and Olympians and finished second in the NCAA indoors in 19??. Ohio Track HOFer and pretty much universally considered one of the finest college coaches in the country by those in the sport. Only real failing was recruiting me, but to his credit he got out pretty early in the process.
During much of his career the rest of BG sports were mediocre and BG performed very well in the MAC so I'd slot him in thre between the Perry guy and Miller.

Recent history being what it is, it might be hard to compare to Mel Brodt and Miller and Perry.

New football coach earns more than Miller - so he is NOT the highest paid coach anymore....

Well then he is the highest paid coach that has done something. We'll see how things go the next year or so, maybe that will change.
