Allison Papenfus hurt her ankle in the AW vs Lima Sr sectional game tonight. She was just getting back from a season long stress fracture. :(
Coach Miller was at the game.
I have no ideas how serious it was, but she left for the training room prior to the end of the first half.

She came back in the second half with the ankle taped and played most of the half. She had a very noticable limp in the first half didn't appear to limp as much in the second half. Each time they took her out of the game she would walk to the end of the court and do stretches. It appeared she dictated when she was ready to go back in the game. When the lead got to 15 in the 3rd qtr. I would of pulled out but she was still playing late into the 4th.

I hope that's the case. Hopefully she has better health when she gets to BG next year.

let us not forget that Tara Breske had some injuries during her high school career (I think I remember Curt saying she missed most of her senior season) and things have been fine for her here, just throwing that out there

I don't think Allison is "injury prone" at all, but the stress fracture she had was very lingering as they often are. She just happened to get rolled up on from behind the other night on her ankle, so I was glad to hear she came back in the 2nd half. She definitely has a D-1 body, probably just a little bigger than an Ali Mann, and around 6'tall.

Plus,

I'm reasonably certain the coach will insist she not play volleyball :-)

V-ball season is in the fall. Unless you are referring to JO v-ball.
