AP POLL ANALYSIS

Just 'cause I'm a numbers guy - here are some interesting details from the 44 media members voting this week in the AP poll:
23 out of the 45 media members voted BGSU a 25th ranking or higher with a total of 74 points. The breakdown with the number of voters of each ranking AND their respective states:
1 PERSON: RANKED 17TH X 9 POINTS = 9 POINTS; from OK
1 PERSON: RANKED 20TH X 6 POINTS = 6 POINTS; from OK
6 PEOPLE: RANKED 21ST X 5 POINTS = 30 POINTS; from MI, FL, NC, UT, OH, MS
1 PERSON: RANKED 22ND X 4 POINTS = 4 POINTS; from MO
4 PEOPLE: RANKED 23RD X 3 POINTS = 12 POINTS; from MS, VA, OH, PA
3 PEOPLE: RANKED 24TH X 2 POINTS = 6 POINTS; from NJ, TX, TX
7 PEOPLE: RANKED 25TH X 1 POINT = 7 POINTS; from NC, NJ, CA, IN, CT, IL, CT
The two Ohio media members: Maureen Fulton of the Toledo Blade (21) and Jim Massey of the Columbus Dispatch (23).
MOST interesting to me were the TWO highest rankers - Clay Horning of the Norman Transcript in Norman, Oklahoma (17) and Lynn Jacobsen of the Tulsa World in Tulsa Oklahoma (20).........
Call me correlation-happy, but I find it intriguing that TWO Oklahoma newspaper beat writers have voted us the highest ranking. Hmmm........memories of the first round, NCAA tourney game vs. Oklahoma State in 2007 perhaps?
Anywho, I enjoy trying to find regional "relationships" in the voting based on conference affiliation, etc. Anyone want to ruminate on their own correlations?
