GREAT NEWS GUYS!!!!
I have always followed this guy's predictions better, Jerry Palm, over the past 3 years he has been more accurate than Charlie Creme.
Last 2 years Palm was 60 of 64, and 62 of 64, predicting the field, well this year he has BG in!!!! Thats right, BG as the last team in!!!

And to make things even better, WE ARE an 11 seed, where BSU is a 12!!
Oh, and he has us playing in Columbus against Xavier, great matchup, and look who the second round game is against!!!!

See, this is why I'm not willing to admit defeat yet. We're one of those teams that's sitting right on the fence, along with South Florida, Temple, Virginia Commonwealth, Minnesota, Villanova, Georgia, Illinois State, Boston College, et al. I realize that the track record is that mid-majors don't make it, but we've got a shot.
The fact that GC is going to be in the room today, that's the x-factor. I know he won't be in there when BG is discussed, but don't think for a minute his presence inside that room won't help us.

When is the women's selection? Can't believe the long streak and 28 wins won't get strong consideration. Two losses near the end didn't help but the body of work is pretty impressive.

There are a couple drop down menus on the top of the page. click the down arrow next to 2008-2009 at the very top and select bracket.

It would certainly be a departure from habit for the committee to let us in, and I'm not going anywhere near getting my hopes up, but I'll certainly take it if they want to send us dancing.
Even if we were to lose our opening round game (and I'd have to think we'd be pretty heavy underdogs the way we've been playing), just the experience of being there would be so huge for this team. It would really help set them up for a deep run next year.
Still don't think it will happen, but I do respect Palm's opinion much more than Creme's. I would never be happier to be completely wrong.

Doh! Why do you think they call it ROCKET science? You
know where they got their degrees- and if they can't figure it out they probably SHOULD have gotten them from UT. You know- the university with the real engineering school?
