I've always had my suspicions about her, but tonight they were confirmed. We have all noticed the stoic professionalism of Lauren Prochaska during her two years in the program, and it has always made me stop and scratch my head. But tonight, to play 40 minutes (or damn near 40, haven't seen the stat sheet) in a game that she was extremely doubtful to play in after being carried off the floor four days ago, and being productive? Yes, we now know for sure. What do we think the NCAA is going to think of an artificial life form playing women's basketball when they find out?

That was a hell of an effort by Lauren tonight. She didn't show any indication of being in pain, and she was pulling down rebounds in situations where she really had no business doing so. Great job, Lauren!

She did take one short break in the middle of the 2nd half, but it was very brief. Let's just hope the NCAA doesn't realize we have a superhuman playing for us, that might end up badly.

So impressive. Her heart is the reason she is such a good player. This team reminds me a lot of Davidson in men's b-ball this year. A solid team with one All-American caliber young player that can take over and dominate games. Like Davidson, we were a mid-major whose bubble burst for the NCAA tournament, but made a pretty good run in the NIT. The only difference: This was a rebuilding year for us. If I were another MAC team, I would be shaking in terror over having to face this team next year (in fact, almost exactly the same team, except without Golds).

Think of this too... McCoy will have two whole years under our system... which is a scary thought, add in Nurse and Hennegan and we a are a scary scary team... I think next year is the year to schedule up and make the MAC a two bid league if we somehow fail to win the conference tourney again...

I have to take issue with you calling this a rebuilding year. Sir we don't rebuild , we RELOAD. That is all.

To be fair to murphdogg, Coach Miller has called this a rebuilding year on many, many occasions...

I know, I still think the term is misused. Coach Miller always likes to take the slightly more negative tone sometimes in his interviews. His teams are always underdogs , always way less talented than our opponents and on and on. Its what makes Miller so great , that he gets his players to somehow buy into this every day all season long to keep them focused.

Either way, the future is looking bright in NW Ohio

I'd take this a step further... the future is looking brighter for women's BB in the entire MAC.... Ball State has some of those BIG freshmen, UT supposedly has recruited an excellent class...Akron has improved a lot, with a coach now entering her 3rd year I believe... got to believe that KSU with Lindsay isn't going to just fall apart etc. Should be some VERY competitive games next year in the MAC.
