Curt: We're the underdog

Post by AyZiggy97 »

Curt Miller has been known to embellish on more than a select occasion. But he appears to have outdone himself at the UT preview press conference. With the understanding that Toledo might actually be the favorite, especially at home, Curt is doing all he can to take the pressure off BG. Heaven love him. The hard sell begins at 4:20.

I know Curt has been known to do this "coach speak" from time to time...but look at UT's record and you'll see that he might have a point this time.. re: us being the "underdog" at Savage Hall... UT has improved vastly under their new coach and I think it'll take a max. effort from our ladies in this one... GO FALCONS!!!!

I agree, I think with the streak and the strength of the rockets...all signs point to a loss tomorrow. It's gotta end sometime and better now than in the tourney.

Remember the basic rule of probability, a long series of outcomes favoring side A is not necessarily indicative that the next trial will be won by side B. Historical probability is only relevant in the very long run. And hopefully for BG, that holds true tomorrow.

I think we win. We always get up for these big games in conference and play great. I'm actually a bit more worried that we'll lose to somebody bad before the end of the season than I am about Toledo.

I think we'll win as well. We've had ut's # for the last 6 years...I think they last beat us in 2003-4. But this will be a war...they are 16-4 for a reason.

BEAT THE SCUDS!!!! Tip off just hours away,

At first I wasn't so sure about UT , wanted to make sure they played some people before we vaunt them to behemoth status. Their best win was over #20 Dayton at home. Dayton seems to be the only really good team of note on UT's schedule as they have beaten as Dayton as beaten MSU , Purdue and Georgetown. Georgetown,MSU and Louisville(a loss) were all at home. How they heck did they get that many top tier teams to come to their place is beyond me. Regardless it will be a tough game, much tougher than EMU for sure. I feel we could be ripe for a loss if we don't come into this game with the same intensity UT will bring.
