FREE THROWS: BG's free-throw percentage of 84.9 percent is better than all 30 teams in the National Basketball Association.
The Oklahoma City Thunder lead the NBA at 84.8 percent through Sunday's games.
Falcon leading scorer Lauren Prochaska (20.3 ppg) has made 67 consecutive free throws, setting an NCAA Division-I women's record. Prochaska leads the nation in free-throw percentage at 98.7 percent, making 75-of-76 free throws this season.
Very interested in seeing how Lauren and also the team perform at the line after having a 11 day break between games. I hope to see us continue our torrid shooting but it would not surprise me if we struggled a bit.
Very Impressive

I hope you do realize that the women use a smaller basketball than the NBA in the same size hoop. That does make things a bit easier, but it is still a great record!

That wasn't quite true at a recent Oakland v. Illinois game for NCAA Men......factman wrote:I hope you do realize that the women use a smaller basketball than the NBA in the same size hoop. That does make things a bit easier, but it is still a great record!

Just as I thought. Team is struggling at the line in the first half tonight. Shooting only 60 percent. And yes, even Lauren's streak came to an end. Streak ends at 70!
Re: Very Impressive
As I predicted a sub par effort from the line tonight. That usually happens with long layoffs. We were only 13-23 from the line tonight, 57%, dropping our national leading percentage from 84.9% to 82.3%, which is now good for third.
