Rooting for Marist right now on ESPNU. They are playing Loyola (MD) in the MAAC championship game. Its 35-27 Marist with 12 minutes to go. If Marist woud lose, Loyola would eat up an at large bid. Marists is ranked 18th and will make the tournament regardless.

Marist pulls away late for a 63-45 win. Now have to root for Gonzaga. The Zags are #22 and playing St. Mary's this afternoon. Again, hope lower seed doesn't steal a bid when the higher seed is most likely already in.

Gonzaga's resume is virtually identical to BG's, so I wouldn't say that they're a lock. In fact, there's a decent chance that they'll get shafted if recent history is any indicator. (Which is a crock, but even a lot of the posters on rebkell seem ambivalent about their chances should they lose)

Gonzaga won as well as Samford so not many upsets today. Xavier came back to beat Dayton. Be very interesting if Dayton makes it in to the field. 5 of their losses have come to RPI teams better than 25 RPI.

Still do not agree with Michigan being one of the last 4 in. Their last 10 wasn't that impressive and to lose in the Quarters to the worst team in the conference which had lost 12 straight.

BG is 3 straight wins for the NCAA Tournament and 9 straight wins from winning the NC!!

GM,
I watched a little bit of the Dayton/XU game...but did NOT see Casey Nance on the floor during the time that I watched... was she hurt? If you recall, her final decision allegedly came down to BG or Dayton. Hope she made the right decision for her... But it'd been nice to have a Soph. 6'3" or so center on our bench and ready for next year, not to mention getting a lot of PT this year.

I forgot about Nance. I did see Ratterman. She had a great first half. Especially after they said she apparently tore a ligament in her knee. She was in a brace and was a game time decision as well. I haven't followed Dayton all that much this year but like I said most of their losses were to quality teams. If Michigan gets into the field over Dayton that will be robbery!

Especially since Dayton made it to the finals of their conference tournament while Michigan lost in the first round of theirs to the worst team in the Big 10.
