Toledo came back from 7 points down in the last 2:30 to beat Delaware.
Good win for the conference. Keep it up EMU, CMU and Kent

That's a nice comeback for the Rockets. Seems like they peaked in midseason and are running on fumes now, they've looked terrible since clinching the regular season MAC Championship in the 3rd last MAC game.

Naama has a knee problem and 2 others had concussions and even sat a game a few weeks ago and I believe Jessica Williams was injured too. They are beaten up right now but a lot of people in Toledo get beaten up.

Great opportunity to see the best woman player I've ever seen. Belladonna, or something. Holy Smoke can she play. And looks like she's not breaking a sweat-brings the ball up against the press, pops out for threes, shoots 95% at the line (ten misses on the year in about 180 shots), blocks shots, passes out of the high post, you name it all at 6'5". Incredible player- they had five players 6'2" or taller but only one was much good. She was almost enough with 31 points.

Imagine her still at UConn playing with Moore. Uconn has had two great girls transfer the past three years. This one went to Delaware and the other went to UK

Should have bought a program h2o. The player's name is Elena Delle Donna and despite what others posted she is not a transfer from Connecticut. She was a highly sought after high school senior and did commit to UConn but changed her mind late and enrolled in her home state of Delaware.

I saw a piece about her on EPSN and she made it to campus at UConn but then decided she wanted to be closer to home because she has a sister that has special needs and wanted to be closer to her family. She also claimed that she was burnt out from basketball and decided to switch to volleyball originally.

Upon further research, you're right she did spend two days at UConn in Summer Session and then left. She still had four years of BB eligibility left when entering Delaware.

Elena was one of the top two players in the country her senior year of high school. She was voted by one of the national publications as the player of the year. The other player was the older of the two sisters that now plays for Stanford. Elena is a special player, and she decided after getting to UCONN that she wanted to be closer to home to be close to her sister. She played volleyball her Freshman year at Delaware, and then decided to play basketball the next year. She is a special player, and I can only imagine how good UCONN would have been this year if she would have stayed. I was lucky enough to see the last time UCONN lost before the streak at the Final Four at Tampa, and I think that the streak would still be alive if she would have stayed. I say, congratulations to Toledo for winning their first game in the WNIT, and I hope for the conferences sake, they keep it up. They did win the regular season championship, and I hope they represent the conference well, even if it is Toledo. I just can't wait for Saturday morning to come around, so I can see our Falcons in the NCAA tournament.

Not possible since there were none for sale. I did know all the info about her and wasn't far off on the name- I was sort of playing anyway: watching her was sort of like consuming belladonna-I thought I was hallucinating.

Mike,
Saw some late scores last nite and the biggest.....EMU beat MEEECHIGAN!, but KSU and CMU both lost...still, not too bad and I'll bet the Ypsilanti folks are thrilled!!! That team has really been playing well and to beat their next door neighbor has to feel great.
BTW, call me so we can set a meeting time and place for tomorrow's journey to Columbus.

EMU beating Michigan is a HUGE win for the Eagles. They really have been playing great basketball down the stretch and could make more waves in the WNIT before this is all over. And oh yeah, suck failure scUM, thanks for coming, your loss vindicates the tournament committee's decision not to put your overrated selves into the NCAA tourney.
