Dustin,

I must be a better fan than you are. During the time out when BG pulled out to its biggest lead against Butler, I was standing and cheering. I looked over at your wonderful seats behind the bench from my wonderful seats and you were SITTING DOWN! I was shocked!

Seriously, Dustin, I don't think that many of us care about your thoughts about what a real fan does or is. I know that I bleed brown and orange whether I am at a women's basketball game or a hockey game. I know that I bleed brown and orange whether I am in the Stroh Center, the Ice Arena, or on the road which I have done often for BG sports. And I know that I bleed brown and orange whether I am sitting or standing. And I have down so for 36 years. Instead of picking a fight or complaining about others, be the best Falcon fan that you can be and be a solid representative of BGSU!

I will see all of you that are traveling to Youngstown to see the Falcons play tomorrow. I haven't missed a game yet, home or away. Whether I am loud or quiet, sitting or standing, I will always be a Falcon fan!

I was merely quoting the person whose words you seem to love most. The amazing coincidence is that is exactly what a lot of us thought when you posted it the first time, that and all of you other all sooooooooooooooooooo original comebacks.

Mostly I appreciate your assistance in my Psychology class project, answering the question, "How will the subject react to his own words when directed and reflected back towards him?" As expected in the hypothesis, the subject responded by becoming angry and resorting to yet another substandard and equally lame unoriginal perceived insult, thus falling into the same cyclic downward spiral from which it originated. An unexpected reaction, however, was the lack of the use of the flipped finger smile and illogical name calling, which are equally unoriginal.

Hypothesis: If the subject flings zoo doo, and zoo doo is flung back, the subject will, like a caged chimpanzee and lacking sufficient congnitive development to devise a more appropriate plan of action which would thus release himself from the pain felt by most narcissistic egotists, refuse to take the necessary step to elevate himself above his current state and fling the same bit of zoo doo back again.

... Let's find out.

I don't spend a lot of time in either hoops forum, so this type of back-and-forth is rather interesting to watch. It's like dropping in on a TV series you've never seen before when it's in the middle of a complex story arc.

I'm still waiting on someone to dial 55678 and text ASSIST with his Section and Row Number.

I may make sure I go to a women's game soon so I can do that. It would be great. Besides, we now know he has seats directly behind the bench. Can't be hard to find the guy that is standing for almost the entire game.

It also helps that he is the only person in that section with signs

Yep, better look for the signs. As someone pointed out elsewhere, he wasn't really standing that much at the last home game. Maybe he wasn't feeling well or something.

1987alum,
the story isn't really all that complex, but it is filled with a running gag (gag as in joke AND as in gagging in your throat) and repeating characters with repeating lines. Think: The Fonz saying, "Heeyyyyyyyyyyyyy", Ricky Ricardo saying, "Lucy, you got some 'splainin' to do", or Ralph Kramden saying, "To the moon, Alice!." At the very least think DustinXtreme saying, "That was soooooooooo funny / original ... NOT!" or PeeWee Herman saying, "I know I am but what's that make you?"

Really, this is just a bit of a side show in which one person is on stage and the audience enjoys heckling him.

The real story with the real stars and the real action is out on the floor, playing some hard basketball, improving each game, and currently on a winning streak. We're all pretty serious about that. For the most part, the other boards on the forum are more serious about our expressing our love for the Falcons, and reporting various tid-bits, observations, and news items.

Think of this as more like the entertainment provided during official time-outs. Like little kids (figuratively and in reality) running down the court, putting on a uniform one piece at a time, and trying to shoot a basket, or like pulling someone out of the crowd and asking them a trivia question, or pulling someone out of the crowd and finding out whether they can shoot a basket or not. Or this is like the worst improve comedy troupe you've ever seen.

Maybe we should take notes and try to pitch it to Comedy Central as a new sitcom. And maybe this topic should be on one of the other boards like the non-sequiter thread, since we've really gotten away from the real topic of Women's Hoops.

Got any names for the show?

Seeing as i haven't done anything wrong at any of the games that would be pointless! really it would be! I have never done anything at any of the games to be kicked out of the arena!
