Across from the bench and up in the balcony we couldn't hear you in Toledo above the din of their own fans, and we couldn't get much going on our side. BUT Hopefully we can get behind you and behind our team, definitely in spirit, and preferably physically, too, on Saturday!
About ready to make the 5 1/2 hr trip from Indy to Akron to watch the women claim another divisional title. That's right, with a win today we are once again Queen of the East.
Very close game. UA had a 20-13 lead but BG ended half on 15-8 run. All tied up at 28 at the half. If we can our score them in the second half we will win another MAC east title.
I've got both men's and women's video feeds on. I'm mostly watching the women with the men's sound on. The women's game has a score and time showing at the bottom. The men's doesn't. I need to hear Todd's call to know the score and the time. With the Women's game I was losing the sound so frequently, I gave up on it and can see the game and score, while listening to the Todd's call of them men's game.
GO FALCONS!!
WIN!!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second." ~~USCHO Poster "BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got." ~~USCHO Poster, AFTER Tech beat us #NeverGiveUp

I also think it's funny when they forget to turn off their mics during commercials and you hear them talking about other stuff.

Papenfuss and Yoder really came thru BIG TIME as Lex was having an AWFUL day shooting the ball, both from the field and the foul line....and Chrissy never seemed to get any looks after her 1st 3 in the first half.... Give Akron credit...they came to play and worked their tails off on Defense in particular. Havel finally came alive late in the game to hit 6 straight crucial FT's to help keep or pad the lead.
Very similar to last year when it took a 3pt. shot by Lauren to knock off the zips in the last second...
Education our Challenge, Excellence our goal. (look it up)
Sounds like this game was exactly what we thought it would be, a really tough knock down battle. Great to see the ladies pick up another win and move closer to the MAC's #1 seed.
Just one tough game remaining now, at home against Miami. Can't afford a trip up against Ohio or Kent but we'd really, really have to play poorly to lose either of those.
Both Eastern Michigan and Toledo rolled today, putting them both at 11-2, just a game behind BG's 12-1 mark. EMU and UT have a monster game coming up on Wednesday night, the winner of which will have the west division lead. Assuming BG beats Ohio the same day, if EMU can knock off UT, BG would be able to clinch the #1 seed against Miami on Saturday or against Kent a week from Wednesday as they hold the tiebreaker over EMU. If Toledo wins, then our road is tougher and we would most likely have to win out.
Either way, big win today for the Falcons.
24. Quality provider of the truth, for better or for worse.
Not to be nitpicking but UT and EMU plays Tuesday. Miami plays at noon on Wed, so BG will know where they stand before the shoot around on Wed. Definitely hoping for an EMU win over UT.
