People make me out to be an inconsiderate ***hole and thing is I'm not,I don't swear at officials, players, coaches or other fans. I don't laugh if a player gets hurt on either team,If I stand up after a great play by bg or to yell at officials,I sit back down asap. I don't block peoples view my signs cause I hold them in front of me! If anybody has a issue with me then come talk to me instead of going to a stroh employee. I'm not a bad person like people make me out to be! I love bgsu,do you really think that I want to jeopardize going to basketball games? Hell no! I bleed Orange & Brown. I couldn't bare the thought of not watching BG,it would kill me inside. All I want is the fans to make noise during the game instead of just sitting there and not making a sound.

Dustin I agree with your post except the last line. As much as you want people to cheer you can't force them. If they want to be quiet that is their choice. I agree if people have a problem they should talk to you directly but when you constantly write letters to the newspapers and are immature on the message boards people will ignore you. If you want to be treated like an adult then act like one. But I do agree with most of your post.

Although I echo gmartin's statement in that you can't make people stand and make noise if they don't want, I agree with just about everything you wrote here.
Personally I feel like a lot of BGSU athletic events are too quiet. There are few games in a given academic year in which the fans are really noisy and rowdy, and those are often the games you remember most. (think hockey vs Michigan, football vs Minnesota or Boise State, men's basketball vs Kent the year they were ranked and we beat them, etc). Games against most MAC opponents are sort of melodramatic.
If we start selling out the Stroh Center, things will change quickly...I actually got inside it for the first time this afternoon and I can imagine it to be a really intimidating venue when its full.
