My favorite part at away games is still at the end when the team turns in unison and waves at the traveling fans.
[ Inappropriate snide remarks about mucky mucks, but having nothing to do with the team or the recent game itself at Kent, have been dutifully removed by popular demand. Mea culpa. - BBBB]

btw, does anyone else think that if GC is attending away games he ought to wear a little orange in his outfit? I mean more than the falcon insignia on his shirt.
btw, also saw cartwright schmoozing with GC at half-time. probably reliving their glory days when they almost got rid of hockey. also saw her greeting Coach Miller 2 minutes before the second half when he probably had a million and one other things on his mind. probably asking if she could join him in Cleveland and get another ring she did nothing to deserve. Maybe she told him they could really use him at Kent, and he said only if he could have their secretary back.
Bubba, Your feelings re: the "black" shirt worn by GC are shared by many...but take a look at a LOT of the warmups etc. being worn by BG athletes...seems like there must've been a sale on Black...or they ran out of Brown due its overall popularity( sarcasm intended).... my son has told me several times that our athletic supplier is the primary culprit in that they don't use Brown in their color schemes, allegedly because it's "too hard" to duplicate or some such drivel.... He's pretty much in the know on this stuff as he's a head lacrosse coach at Hudson HS and is always ordering or re-ordering new unis, warmups etc.
Education our Challenge, Excellence our goal. (look it up)

Several of Miller's assistants and trainers were wearing blue shirts at the Toledo game. I got a huge kick out of that.

FWIW, Dr. Cartwright played a bigger role in SAVING the hockey program that GC was trying to get rid of. She put the kabosh to it after she found out about all of the the underlying support for the program and forced GC to do more research into what could be done to save the program that he had already written off.
You know...if you feel the need to warn people about the snide comments you're making within a thread celebrating the team's achievements, you should probably just keep them to yourself or create another thread for snide comments...
