MAC Second Round

Watching Ohio and Central Michigan. Tied at 35-35 with 16 minutes left in second half.
Both these teams beat BG. CMU is long and athletic, but they don't shoot it particularly well and don't take care of the ball very well either. Ten TOs in the first half alone.
OU shoots the three well. They were down 10 points in the first half but came back to tie it at the half.

CMU up 54-53 with 2:31 left.
Central has a freshman listed at 6 foot and a guard. Long arms and can handle the ball. Plays out of control at times but a matchup nightmare for teams. Could be incredible if she develops further over the next three years.

CMU advances 58-55. They'll give Miami all they can handle tomorrow afternoon.
Not sure if I like this new tournament format. If we play CMU, they'll have played two games on this court to get comfortable. We'll be playing our first. On the flip side, we'll have fresh legs and they would be playing their third game in three days.

We did not lose to Central in the regular season. We beat them in overtime in Mt Pleasant. That was Coach Roos' first game as acting head coach. Yes Central is long and athletic. But they do not play fundamental defense. They basically try to outscore you. But we need to remember that Central still has to play Miami tomorrow for the right to play us in the semis. Let wait to see who wins tomorrow's game. We may be playing Miami for the third time.

Thanks for the correction on the CMU game! I watched that game on TV. It almost felt like a loss.

She is a head case and I'm think Guevara will make her transfer after the season. Best player I saw this year in person but has no respect for the game...

I still can't understand why everybody thinks so highly of CMU and seem to think we'll be facing them instead of Miami. I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

I, for one, and glad to see Akron gone. I know we would not have played them unless it was the title game but man do they give us fits.

They do. I don't think they would've been a tougher out than Toledo or EMU, but its not like the Zips would've been a cakewalk for BG. It never is.

She is energy in carnate, but not sure what you mean by the "no respect for the game" part.
