Hmmm...the three freshmen from CMU who did NOT play in Mt. Pleasant when we were there during the regular season scored (brace yourself...) 57 out of the 78 total points today in the Chippewas win versus the Redhawks. The three of them were also named to the All-Mac Freshman team.

Those are some facts that gives one pause...

That was also the first game BG went through without Coach Miller on the sidelines. BG on paper is the better team, just have to prove it tomorrow.

Well, this is the matchup that just about everybody thought we would get.

The way I see it, CMU doesn't defend very well at all. BG will get their looks. If the Falcons defend well and don't give a lot of 2nd chance opportunities, this game should be a cinch. We should be well rested and the Chippewas tired, which doesn't benefit them since they usually play a high-tempo attack. Maybe they're used to being tired, but I really think BG has every advantage here. Just need to execute.

Key to the game tomorrow? Alexis Rogers staying out of foul trouble for BG.

I totally disagree that BG has every advantage. Central is scary as hell. I would MUCH rather have played Miami. Central is more athletic than we are - I'm just hoping, like you mentioned, that they will be tired from playing their third game in as many days. I'm very worried about this game.

Should be a cinch huh????? Tell that to our men's program. We were a 14 pt favorite the other night. You cannot assume they will be tired. On the other hand we haven't played in 10 days. With spring break could not practice with our normal practice players. Since in Cleveland don't get to practice just shoot arounds. This will not be as easy as you may think.

CMU will be a tough out....bank on that. I'm glad we don't have to face Miami again but CMU will be no walk in the park.

Good Luck Falcons!!!

BEAT CENTRAL!!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Anyone who watched CMU/Mu yesterday would be very concerned. They will be the class of the league next year, although class may not be the right word given their"exuberant" style of play. They like to intimidate opponents, a nasty foul by number44 yesterday and two or three Hawks injured on hard plays. Good luck.

You are talking about #44 Taylor Johnson. That girl has a serious attitude. If you could profile someone whom may become a trouble individual down the road in life she would be the one. That girl always tries to stary a fight, she throws elbows, swears, complains. Needless to say she is not lady like. She has been this way since day 1 at CMU. How she was not involved in the fight last month against OU I have no idea. I for one thought she was the one who started the incident. She will definitely test the patience of our girls. She will also try and get Havel and Rogers to get some cheap fouls. She is the most physical girl in the league.
