Congrats to Eastern for knocking off the Scuds.
Toledo led the entire game except for the last 48 seconds.
Maybe BG and UT will meet in the WNIT.

BG...MAC Regular season champs. Your next quote..."ut 52, BG 50". Predictable, I'm sure.

Nope. UT 52 bg 50.
That being said, the two best teams advanced and neither of them were ours. CMU will own the league for the next three years and EMU may sink back into mediocrity with their losses this year. BG and Toledo will be up there but CMU will be ahead of everyone unless they can't keep their heads on straight.

H2O, don't you have a rockette board to go play around? CMU has a very bright future but BG had ONE SR this year. We'll be in the title hunt again...

Boy the MAC powers that be have got to be PISSED about BG and Toledo losing today. Instead of having 7k or 8k fans at tomorrow's final, they'll be lucky to get 2k. EMU vs CMU? Eww.

But CMU will be the best team in the MAC. We don't have to like it and feel free to mark this post for retribution should I be wrong but I won't be. The worm has turned. The only team that will consistently give CMU problems the next couple years is CMU.

CMU is definately going to be a real threat to win it all for the next few years...IF they can keep that group of attitudes under control. They have some players that create real matchup problems for every other MAC team...i.e., Bradford (one of the best athletes I have ever seen in the MAC...the only one who can stop her is probably Crystal Bradford), Baker (a power forward who can play point guard, just to name 2.
They basically have 7-8 starters...today for example, 2 players who started the first half, didn't start the second half. Also, Olive didn't even play today, and she was the 6th player of the year.
Not saying BG can't compete with them, because they can; but, and I hate to say it because I hate the attitudes they display, CMU is for real.

Until another freshman class comes in and raises the level again... Remember that UT and BG are both rebuilding this year. Is CMU scary athletic? Yes. Will they be the class of the MAC for the next 3 years? I'll believe it when I see it. It's one thing to have a bunch of talented freshmen. It's another thing entirely to develop them. Guevara has yet to prove that she can groom high-caliber talent into sustained success. Miller and Cullop have both proven that they can develop players of varying levels into champions. It'll take more than one tournament loss for me to cede a power shift in the MAC.
