Congrats Coach Roos!! Well deserved!!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Jennifer just finished her introductory remarks

when asked if she was going to move into the BiG office soon she said

No I leave Thursday to go recruiting won't be back til Wednesday so moving will wait, not a priority

said she will strive to continue the success of Bowling Green Women's Basketball not just the recent history but from its beginnings

the team is excited to have Jennifer as their Head Coach

listen for yourself if you want I'm sure it's still on bgsufalcons.com

I encourage everyone to watch the press conference. Some great moments, especially Simone asking a question in her role as sports director for the campus station.

If you weren't sold on this choice before, as most of us were, the press conference will certainly do it for you!

Guess I must've missed Simone's question....was impressed with her composure when they asked for a player to speak re: Curt's leaving.

Congrats to Coach Roos!! I am sure she will do a great job. I am glad the process took as long as it did and ended the way it did. Another great hire by BGSU. GO FALCONS!!!!!

I couldn't listen to the whole interview, but I caught this part. The lady who spoke second gave a cute story about the interview process:

Jennifer Roos went through the exact interview schedule as the other candidates, which included an interview session by two current players. At the end of the session with the players, Jennifer asked them why they were wearing sweats, and not dressed professionally, for a professional interview.

I'm sure the athletes will be embarrassed this story got out, but I think this indicates the high caliber person Jennifer is. It's not just about W's and championships for her - it's about shaping young student-athletes into high caliber, classy young women.

BG is in great hands now. Having Jennifer will ensure continuity through the transition into the next phase, not only for the community but also in terms of play style, personnel, and locker-room attitude. I'm SUPER excited and in my mind, the bits of the press conference I heard only confirmed that this was our best choice.
