Tell you what, Cairnduff has been playing extremely well these past few weeks. 8 pts today in the first half, 4-4 from the line. She will be fun to watch over the next 3 years. Along with MJ, Sailas, Hoekstra, this team will be very good in years to come. A year under coach Roos, next years team may be as good as our sweet 16 run team.

BG wins 61-47.
Cairnduff led all scorers with 18 points... As mentioned earlier, definitely going to be fun watching her and MJ over the next 4 years.

After watching the ladies this year a few times, it would appear that we're a bit short on quality depth, a previous strength on past teams...Hopefully, a solid recruiting year to fill the spots of four srs. leaving will allow us to rebuild this part of the team.
Seems like we're good enough to beat most teams in the MAC, but perhaps more questionable against the stronger programs... we'll see how the Akron and CMU games shake out to see if I'm right... (and I hope I'm NOT)

61, good effort today at Eastern. Our depth, right at this moment, is strongly impacted by Jasmine Matthews' injury. She was/is/will be a key player for us. A scorer. Our rotation suffers though D Hoeckstra has had some moments. Her minutes would be fewer, but perhaps more effective if Jasmine was playing. With the loss of Pastor, we had to work hard to get the back up PG. I think Katrina Salinas has done a wonderful job given her relatively late arrival, but Pastor certainly had great promise. Justinger's go get em all out style netted early playing time and she has had success. Her future looks good to me. And Carinduff can shoot it. She is a bigger longer wing type who can get the shot off. Today, she had her best game by far. And she has been very good in other recent games. I see a potential all leaguer if she adds strength. Our post subs are hard workers and their individual success often depends on match ups etc. Jill Stein has progressed and really adds a dose of leadership on and off the court in my opinion.
If we can put it together in all phases and gain momentum, we can certainly put ourselves in the tourney final this season. UT is very good, but obviously we played to a near draw there. Miami is very good and we did not finish at all in that game. I know CMU will be by far the most athletic team. And Akron has three scoring options that are among the league's best. After those four and BG, the rest of the league is weak. So with a little good fortune and hard nosed play like A Rogers gave us today (and the real key for the this team- some more MADE shots), we can be a post season hit.
For next season, we lose the two starters and a back up interior player. While hard to replace all that experience obviously, I believe the addition of our ACC transfer Donovan (who has proven she can play high level college basketball) and a couple incoming recruits (Kirkpatrick perhaps) can soften that blow. Plus our coaches will have a year together and more experience. I think the future looks bright.
Go Falcons!

Justinger has been a pleasant suprise....kind of had her figured for an end of the bench role as a fresh...woman? but she's a smart player who can score a bit.

Reminds me of a Jen Uhl type player. That would be OK with me...
