Per Coach Roos on Twitter, Allison Papenfuss has graduated and is now a grad student who will be playing Falcon Volleyball next year. She is listed on the team roster:

Megan McGuire is the only player I remember attempting this transition after her 4 years of women's basketball eligibility had passed then took advantage of that 5th year available to another sport (volleyball as well).
We also had a men's basketball player join the football team after using up eligibility in 90's I believe. Just can't remember the name but I believe Larranaga worked it out with Blackney so he could get scholarship money to finish his degree.

A women's soccer player once played another sport but I don't recall which one.
Cole Magner also moonlighted on one of Dakich's talent-deprived teams and was actually extremely effective.

Jenifer Kernahan (Perrysburg High School grad) played softball from 2001-2004 and soccer 2003-2004.

Didn't Kelly Kapferer begin her BGSU career playing basketball before switching to volleyball only to return to basketball for her final year?

Current Oakland Univerrsity basketball coach Greg Kampe was a point guard on John Weinert's BG basketball teams in the mid-70's and also was the punter on the football team. He had a 75-yard plus punt that was the school record for a long time.

No, Kelly Kapferer took a year away form basketball. She didn't play any sport that I know of. How can anyone forget that Liz Honegger played 4 years of basketball and then used a 5th year to throw the discus for the track team. Granted she threw the discus after basketball was over her freshman year too.

You're right that Magner helped out the basketball team, which I believe had been decimated by some injuries... I think there was also ANOTHER football player who "crossed over" for awhile, but didn't get the P.T. that Cole did. This being said, Cole was NOT a 5th yr. senior playing after his football eligibility had expired...at least that's the way I remember it..... could be wrong though.

Britt Anderson, one of Curt Miller's first recruits, played soccer her freshman year (2002?) and also played basketball. After that basketball season, she quit hoops but stayed with soccer. She was part of the 2004 and 05 teams that won MAC titles under Andy Richards.
Also, Joe Bair played both football and basketball in the late 80s or early 90s. I believe he got hurt in one of our bowl games, ending his football career, but continued to play basketball. Remember 'Joe Bair's Lair' at Anderson Arena?

Also, Keon Newson played basketball the same year Magner did.

I think that discus might have hit the members of our athletic director search committee in the head along with Brooke Pleger's hammer.

We could sure use him now. If he's looking to get into coaching he should check with Bob Davie at New Mexico as he seemed to have a man-crush on the Alaskan Assasin.
