The video of the 3 new freshman basketball players shows Three VERY teen aged girls...giggled and laughed their way thru the entire interview... they seem to have developed great chemistry with each other...now we'll need them to be contributors, probably BIG time, on the court.

Do we have just 11 players on the roster as the website indicates? I remember Curt carrying as many as 15. An injury or two and we are awful thin...especially in practice.

Yes, right now the roster is at 11. Coach Roos mentioned in the media that they were still recruiting. Who knows, maybe there is a Junior College player out there who isn't committed for this year. We got Katrina in August last year. With all of the transfers, we have a lot of scholarships we could give. I get the feeling that the class that will be signing in November will be quite large. From what I have heard, this year's high school senior class is quite talented. The staff is out recruiting hard right now. I'm sure we will be quite pleased when the time comes for the announcement in November 2013.

Yes, 11 is certainly not a ton of players, but I don't see it as a major problem if they remain at 11. They've had as many as 8 or 9 practice-squad guys in some years, and even if they only have 4 or 5, it'll be more than enough to do the job, I'm sure. And, while Curt carried as many as 15 (and maybe more than that on 1 or 2 teams) some years, they also had 11 or 12 on some of the NCAA Tournament teams.

And, as was mentioned, they picked up Katrina (and Lex, too, I think) very late in the summer. I wouldn't be shocked if they add someone else to the roster before the fall semester rolls around.
